I had the news that uncle's plane was sabotaged. I hired a private investigator to move faster than Becky.
I have this gut feeling that something is off about uncle's death.
I come back to work again in the company and university. Becky came back to school. I arrange everything. She asked if I could make her days in school faster.
She wants to graduate earlier than expected. I fix all of it it is what she wants.
She's becoming braver now than before. Uncle Isaac will be very proud of her.
A knock cut me from my thoughts.
"Ma'am chankimha your mom is here" my secretary said
I'm here in my office in the company. I wonder why she's here.
Later on here she comes. I walk in and look at me seriously.
"What do you need mom?" I asked her
"I want you to meet Mr. Vargas later" she said
"Mom I told you I have a girlfriend! Why can't you just leave me alone?" I said
"I told you to break up with her. Is that what you learned from your father?! I should never let him see you!" She said
"No mom you can't control me. I love Becky and you can never stop that" I said
"Let's see how love can save you! Go to dinner later." She said then walks out of my room.
I need to bring Becky then later but I don't know how I can tell her. She's been recovering from the past events. I can't stress her out of my problems.
"Freen.." someone said
I looked up to see it was Becky. I was surprised to see her here. She's holding something.
Probably she saw mom coming out of the office?
"Bec...Ky sorry I didn't notice you are here. What brought you here?" I asked her confusedly
"I have received an email about me accelerating in school. Thank you for doing it for me. It's also the reason why I'm here I tried to go to your office in the university to ask you for lunch but they said you're not there. So I decided to go here and luckily you're here. I Just brought us some take out from the restaurant." She said then raised the paper bag she's holding
I immediately stand up and help her put the food in the mini living room I had here in the office.
"Thanks for bringing food Becky. I almost forgot to eat lunch" I said as we start eating
"Was this about your mom?" She asked
"No Becky, it's about some business matters" I said so we won't open that topic.
"You can't hide it on me. I saw your mom earlier she even rolled her eyes at me. She really hates me. Let me help you freen. I can be your fake girlfriend until she doesn't mess up with your life. Consider it my gratitude for taking care of me" she said seriously
But I don't want her just to be my fake girlfriend. I want her to be my girlfriend. I want us to be together if possible forever.
I know I can't force myself to her right now so maybe this will be a good start? I will make her fall for me.
"Thank you Becky I really appreciate it." I said
She raised her hand for a handshake. Now we look like a business partner that has made a deal with each other.
"Oh Becky, mom wants me to go to dinner later. Can I invite you later?" I asked
She then nodded. She looks like a child. I got the tissue and wiped off her messy lips.
I thought I would never see her smile like this. I can't wait until I can call you mine..
