Chris
I smile as she pulls me closer. I lean my head on her shoulder. She's so gentle. La amo más que a mí mismo. I crave her touch. I live for her. She is my everything. She is my light, my hope, my shining star. I'd do anything for her. I'd KILL for her.
As I lean into her, I see a shadow in the corner. It doesn't quite look black but rather a deep, dark purple. I've been seeing that shadow since... the incident... I feel bad for my dear Sarah... now that her friend is dead... maybe it's less painful since she can't remember it... her lack of memory gives her a fresh start... it gives us a fresh start.
she runs her fingers through my hair. I look away from the shadow and focus on her soft touch. God, I love her. I move closer to her, practically squishing her. I need to be closer to her. I need to be so close to her that we are connected. I need to feel her, inside and out. I need ALL of her. She's mine and only mine.
As I lean against her, I hear her heart beating. It's soothing. I can feel her breathing. I feel her shift slightly before I hear her voice. "How long was I asleep for?" She'd only been asleep for a day.
She's supposed to rest in the hospital for three days, but I wanna take her home now. "Two days before you woke up yesterday." Her heartbeat quickens. "So when can we go home?" I smile softly and look up at her, "today"
She nods slowly, looking kind of dazed. That must have shocked her. She's probably scared. I've gotten good enough at reading her from all the time we've spent together. She's very easy for me to read.
"Relax mi amor, I'm sure your memories will come back to you as soon as you see the house." I don't really believe it, but I want her to feel better.
Malachi and Delilah walk in, fingers interlocked. They are two of my favorite surgeons here, along with Maverick and Rachael. They do the whole discharge thing and we sign the papers.
Our stuff is already packed from where we were preparing to leave before her surgery interrupted. I scan the room, making sure we got everything. I don't want to leave anything behind, out of fear that she might become distressed if she doesn't have something.
I look up from the papers and notice she is moving around, picking up some of the bags, and Malachi and Delilah have already left, so I stand. I walk over and grab the bigger bags. She smiles at me, blushing a bit. Perfect. She's already comfortable around me.
We slowly walk out the door together. As we walk to my car, her eyes widen. It's a fancy one, so I can understand why that's her reaction. She's cute when she's surprised. I feel guilty for the accident. It was my fault, more so than she will EVER know. If she knew, she'd hate me forever, so I open her door, then get in my side. "Time to go home, mi amor."
