Three's a crowd || Sonic x Amy x Shadow

A date

The three hedgehogs sat in the living room hanging out when Tails came in to join them. There was a sheepishly giddy aura about the fox. "Is something up, buddy?" Sonic asked, noticing the change. "I think I have a date tomorrow nig.-" Amy squealed in excitement "With who?" She asked. "Cream." Tails stated, very embarrassed. Amy could barely contain herself. "Alright Ames, calm down." Said Sonic. "Tails, let's go to the kitchen and talk about this." He added. Tails, now terrified, followed him there.
Sonic hesitated for a moment, before squeezing him excitedly. "Come on little buddy, this has to be perfect for you. where are you two going?" "The movies.." "ooh okay, what are you seeing?" "I wanted to see the new Planet Wars, but she wanted to see Hope." "Okay, well this time go see the movie she wants and you can watch the movie you want next time." The fox nodded. "Here's some rings, I know you've been saving but this one's on me." Sonic added, giving his little brother some rings. "Thanks, Sonic." Tails hugged him.
The next night came before Tails could even realize. He showed up at the house of Vanilla and Cream with a flower bouquet and a lump in his throat. “Could this be it?” He asked himself, barely able to stop shaking. “Do I have to do this?” He was terrified. What if she didn't like him? What if it went wrong? What if he got the wrong flowers?
The doorbell rang. He didn't even realize that he had pressed the button. Without a moment's notice the door flew open and Tails was on the ground. On top of him was the world's happiest rabbit.

“Tails!!” Her smile was as big as ever, her eyes gleaming with happiness. She wasn't dressed super fancy, her usual attire with a little more effort with the small accessories she would add. Tails was shocked with the sudden action but sighed as he was just relieved it was Cream. “ I'm super excited for tonight! “ She got up, giving a hand to the fallen fox. “Oh my God..” Tails said, starstruck. “Cream, you look amazing!” He gave her the tightest hug he could. Getting up he nervously held her hand, realizing what he's getting himself into. “Bye mama!” Cream shouted. “Goodbye, Miss Vanilla!” Tails joined in. Together they walked off, happily talking amongst one another. When they got to the theater Tails used the extra money Sonic gave him to surprise cream. “Here you go, Cream!” He excitedly gave her her candy. “Thank you!!” She hugged him. “But what are you getting?” “I don't want anything.” Tails replied. “Nonsense!” The rabbit shouted. “I'll take one extra large popcorn please!” After getting their food they sat down and started the movie. To Tails' dismay and abject horror about halfway through the movie cream did the unthinkable. She laid her head on him. The terrified fox slowly calmed himself and put his head on hers. After the movie Tails gave her a sly look. “Want to go back to my room?” He asked. “Sure!” Replied the rabbit, happily following his lead. Upon getting back to the house the group exchanged hugs before Tails ran to his room where he unveiled what he truly brought her here for: his Sega Dreamcast. A little while later Vanilla knocked on the door. “Hello, Vanilla.” Greeted Shadow. “Hello Shadow!” “Shall I get Cream?” “Yes please.” Vanilla walked in and sat there while Shadow went to the basement for the two. Cream came sprinting out to hug her mother, Tails followed. “Thank you mister Sonic, mister Shadow, and Amy for letting me play with Tails!” “It's no problem, Cream.” Replied Sonic. Shadow nodded, and Amy went up to the little rabbit and gave her a hug. “Did you have fun, Creamy?” she asked. “Mhm!” “I'm sure Tails can't wait to have you over again. Tails agreed, clearly embarrassed. “Well, me and Cream need to get going. It's almost dinner time.” Vanilla said, picking cream up. After everyone said their goodbyes, they all watched in adoration as Tails looked out the window at them. “does some odd have a cruuush?” Teased Sonic. “Wha- no- we literally just got back from a date, Sonic.” “Well I have a boyfriend AND a girlfriend.” He added. “It's been 3 years, Sonic. We're both waiting.” Added Amy, who was clearly annoyed. Sonic awkwardly laughed “well.. I think I have to uh.. go!” He said, running up to their room. Amy, Shadow, and Tails all laughed. “We're waiting, Sonic.” Shadow added. “You're a man too, you're not off the hook either.”
