Natasha smiled. Her sister just took the first step in healing. Natasha held her sisters' gaze for a long moment. It had been so long since those eyes held love for the redhead, and she never wanted to look away for fear she would never see it again.

"Jesus Nat," Clint's voice broke the silence, "What the fuck happened?"

Natasha hadn't heard the door open and had forgotten about the damage her sister caused. What caught her attention was the way Yelena cowarded at Clint's outburst. Rage boiled in Natasha as she watched her sister quickly drop to her knees and bow her head, just as they both learned in the Red Room.

"I'm sorry! I'll be good!" Yelena held her hands up in defense and frantically shook her head but didn't dare raise it. She knew better.

The three others stood in shock. A look of fear washed over Clint's face as Natasha glared at him. She took several threatening steps towards him.

"Nat..." Clint mimicked Yelena's hands. "I didn't mean-"

"Do you know what you just did?!" Natasha hollered at Clint. "I just got through to her!"

Before Clint could respond, Natasha punched him, causing him to stumble backward. He stared stunned at Natasha.

"Nat, I-"

"Shut the fuck up, Clint! Why are you even here?!" Natasha was growing more and more agitated.

Clint foolishly took a step towards the sisters, "Yelena-"

Clint was interrupted by yet another brutal punch. He stumbled again, this time falling to the floor. Natasha didn't hesitate to climb on top of him, hitting him several more times.

"You. Don't. Talk. To. Her." Natasha anunciated every word. "You don't even look at her."

Yelena had been sneaking glances, but when she saw Natasha punch Clint, she fully raised her head. And her eyes followed her sister's every move.

Kate had been too shocked to speak since they first entered the room, but she was closely watching Yelena. As Yelena carefully watched her sister, Kate couldn't help the small smile that crept onto her face when she saw Yelena look up at her sister.

Their sisterhood was one to be dreamt of, and for it to have almost been forever changed, Kate was relieved to see Yelena, despite being terrified, still held her sister on a pedestal.

Slience washed over everyone. Natasha stood protectively in front of her sister as if Clint and Kate were the enemies. Everyone knew Natasha would sacrifice everyone and anyone for her little sister. When it came down to Yelena, nobody else mattered.

Clearly, he was not helping the situation, and without so much as glancing at either sister, Clint silently apologized and quickly excused himself from the room.

And then, there were 3. The girls held the silence for a while longer. Natasha looked over at Kate, "Did I go too far?"

"No."

Natasha nodded, but you could see she didn't fully believe Kate. And just like that, it was quiet again.

This time, it was Yelena who broke the silence. Yelena stood up and stood awkwardly in front of her sister, her eyes fixated on the floor.

"What is it, little one?"

"Of course," Yelena whispered, staring into Natasha's eyes. "Of course, it wasn't you."

Natasha's eyes welled up, and her shoulders physically relaxed. Despite Yelena already saying those words, Natasha could sense a part of her was still afraid, but now, there wasn't an ounce of fear in Yelena's eyes.
