It's been two months since Astrid's hut was burned down by the dragon hunters. Since then, she lived with Hiccup. And now, honestly, why not? They had been together for a year. They were simply the perfect dream couple, according to Heather.

Something's been going on with Astrid lately, Heather knew that, but unfortunately, she didn't know what exactly. Even though Astrid was in a relationship, she still found it difficult to talk about her worries. Astrid stops. Heather even tried to squeeze it out of her but failed. Astrid's symptoms didn't sound familiar at all: nausea, loss of appetite, constant tiredness and exhaustion, etc. Astrid doesn't want to tell her best friend what's wrong with her. Not only Heather, but also Hiccup was racking his brains about what could be wrong with Astrid.

It was night. Everyone lay in their beds and slept. Well, almost all of them. Hiccup and Astrid were lying in Hiccup's bed and talking.
"Hiccup, for the hundredth time: I'm fine!"
"Oh yes?"
"Yes!"
"Then why did you just collapse in front of the door this morning?"
"I don't know," she confessed quietly. Hiccup sighed, wrapping his arms around Astrid and pulling her closer to him. For a moment, they looked into each other's eyes. Astrid pulled herself even closer to Hiccup and kissed his cheek. He did the same. Only the kiss landed on Astrid's lips. She returned the kiss with lots of love. After the kiss, they broke apart, but not completely. Hiccup's arms held Astrid's waist. And Astrid's were clasped behind Hiccup's neck, and her fingers were running through his hair, his soft, wild, auburn hair. Since Astrid has been undoing her braid a lot lately while sleeping, her hair was now in Hiccup's face. But he didn't mind. He whispered, "I know I'm annoying you with this, but I don't want anything to happen to you."
"But, Hic-" Astrid was about to say, but he interrupted her by pressing his lips gently to her forehead. "It's already late. Good night, Astrid," said the young Haddock.
"Hiccup?"
"Yes?"
"I love you."
Hiccup smiled and caressed Astrid's cheek. He whispered quietly, "I love you too." And the couple fell asleep. Well, one of them.
