Over the next few weeks, Astrid was forbidden by Gothi to do more and more things. The young Hofferson understood that she was not allowed to fly with Sturmpfeil while pregnant. But she didn't understand why she wasn't even allowed to help the others on Berk. The only thing she was allowed to do was a short walk through the village, nothing else. Even though it has become much more boring for her now, Astrid is still looking forward to the child. And she knew Hiccup was doing the same. Weeks went by again and no Terror mail from Hicks. Astrid was worried. She knocked on Stoick's house.
"Yes?" he shouted. Astrid entered.
"It's me, Astrid. Did you get any scary mail from Hiccup?"
"Hello, Astrid. No. There hasn't been one yet. Why?"
"Oh, just that..." Astrid murmured disappointedly. Stoick knew she was worried about his son.
"But I'm sure it will come." Astrid nodded, said goodbye and went home.
And indeed. Later that afternoon a piece of Terror mail arrived. Astrid saw the little dragon land on her bedside table. She took the letter and left it.

Astrid,

We'll most likely come tomorrow. There's still a lot to do, but I promise you we'll see each other again tomorrow. I love you.

Your hiccup

The Viking could now jump into the air for joy and relief, but she wasn't allowed to, according to Gothi. Astrid was happy to see Hiccup again. He promised her the last time he was there that the three of them would live together. Because they are a small family now, or it will be when the child is born, which won't be long.
