Gothi came out with a smile and nodded at Hiccup. He knew that it meant he could go to Astrid. He entered the room and immediately stopped. An exhausted but happy Astrid sat on the bed with a small bundle in her arms.
"Hey." Astrid came out. You could see that she was having difficulty speaking. Still, she smiled. But that was enough to put one in Hiccup's face. He came towards her and sat on the bed next to her.
"Hey." Whispered the young Haddock. He kissed his girlfriend on the head. Astrid showed him his child.
"It's a girl."
"What's her name supposed to be?"
"Aileen, maybe?" Hiccup nodded.
"It's a nice name. I like it." He said in a whisper.
Astrid laid her head on his shoulder. He leaned his head on hers.

It's already morning. The birth lasted approximately eight to ten hours. Hiccup saw how incredibly exhausted Astrid was. But she tried not to show it. Hiccup knew that too.
“Would you like to hold her?” Whispered young Hofferson questioningly.
"Gladly."
She carefully placed Aileen in Hiccup's arms. She laughed with her sweet, ocean blue eyes. Aileen looked happy in her father's arms. Pretty happy, actually. Although Hiccup could look into his daughter's eyes forever, he turned to Astrid, who was smiling, but still seemed as if Hiccup only had to caress her gently once and Astrid would collapse.
"Astrid, you should rest. It was a lot of excitement and exertion for you today. Lie down and try to sleep."
"And who will take care of our daughter then? Hic-"
"I can take care of her. We'll sit next to you and take care of you. If you need us, you'll tell me, okay?" The viking girl reluctantly nodded, lay down and closed her eyes, while Hiccup sat next to her with their daughter in his arms. Every now and then, Astrid noticed, Hiccup would stroke her head.
