Between Chaos and Peace

Truth

It was 9 am. I was running late. Stupid alarm clock turned off. Luckily private woke me up. I pulled a blue blouse and pencil skirt. I got my black stilettos and grabbed my purse and jacket. I opened my door to see jen, Kevin, Will and Hayley . I, "I'm sorry but I have to go. Late for work." Jen, "Reina stop for a minute. We figured it out." I, "figured what out?" Hayley, "you're a lost soul." Will, "you have all the signs." I, "no no you're all wrong on so many levels." I went to push threw but they blocked me. Kevin, "come on reina just admit it. You'll Feel better." I, "I seriously don't have time for this. You want the fucking truth fine." I pulled my bracelet off. I, "I found my soulmate 5 years ago but I lost him. He's out there somewhere. Now I need to get to work or I'm jobless." Jen, "5 years ago?" I quickly maneuver out of their force field. I caught a cab and got in.

I rubbed my eyes. I should have already gone home already but I was scared. What if they are there waiting? "Why are you still here?" I looked up to see mr. Jones. I, "I um I um was looking over some designs." Mr. Jones, "dont lie." I, "I kinda told my friends about my mark." Mr.Jones, "what about it?" I, "I have one. I just lost him." Mr. Jones, "how?" I, "I was at a party and we were leaving. I just turned 18. I didn't realize it until it was too late." Mr. Jones, "thats rare. Do you know anything?" I, "no. I don't know who he is." Mr. Jones, "maybe it wasn't the right time." i nod. Mr. Jones, "go home. If they're really your friends they'd understand why you didn't tell them." i nod. I stood up.

I got home. The lights were off. No one was there. Relief cascaded over me. I opened my door and went in. There they all sat. It was to good to be true. I walked back to my room. I closed the door and locked it. I got my sleeping clothes on. I took a deep breath and walked out there. Some of them looked mad, others betrayed. But my best friend looked disappointed. Reina, "so who wants to start?" Jen said, "this isn't a joke. Why would you lie to us?" reina laughed, "lie. I never lied. I just never told you guys. You all were so happy to think poor little Reina will never have anyone but get mad when you find out i do. I didn't tell you all because i didn't have too." kevin, "we are your friends." Reina snapped, "yes. My friends who won't talk about there stories around. My friends who whiser about me when i leave the room. My friends who judge me because i "don't" have a soulmate. Yes what wonderful friends you all are." she touched her wrist. His heart beat was pounding. Opal said, "don't act like this Reina. We love you." reina snorted, "because why is she here? Who invited reina? She just a 3rd wheel to us. Is a great way of saying i love you. So how about you all leave my home. I have important business to tend to in the morning. But like you guys care to know I've gotten a raise and an now a supervisor." they all looked down.
