Between Chaos and Peace

Jen, "so last night was epic." She fell back on my bed. I laughed, "what did you do?" Jen, "I made out with the guitarist Rebel." She sat up. I continued to look for a dress. I had on my favorite sweater. Jen, "so I saw you all cozy up to Damon." I blushed and said, "He was sweet." Jen, "to bad they left already." She looked at her nails. Jen, "make sure your ready for your birthday party by 7. My mom has everything all set." She got up. Jen, "see you soon. I have to help my mom with last minute details." I, "see you later."  She left. I went into my bathroom. I pulled my sweater off. I turned the shower on.

I went to grab my dress and I saw it. I just stared at it. It looked like half a heart. This can't be possible. I touched it. It was real. It was blue. That was noticable. I got dressed and found a bracelet to hide it. Who was my soulmate? Could it be Damon? Or was it someone else?

I went downstairs. My hand pressed against the bracelet. Grandpa, "hey kiddo. Ready for breakfast? " I, "yeah." I sat down as he set a plate of pancakes and bacon in front of me. Grandpa, "I'll be right back." I dug into the food and ate. He came back and set a small box in front of my plate. Granpa, "I got you a gift." I, "oh grandpa. You didn't have too." He smiled and said, "it's your 18th birthday. Of course I had too. Now open it." I placed my fork down and grabbed the box. I opened it to see a necklace. It was my mom's necklace. My dad gave it to her. Granpa, "this necklace has been in the family for generations. I thought you deserved it." I got up and hugged my grandpa. I, "I found my mate." I sat down. Grandpa, "who is he?" I, "I don't know. I met him last night but I was in a hurry. There were lots of people aswell." He held my hand. Grandpa, "you'll find him." I, "can we keep this between us?" He nod. Grandpa, "I'll take it to my grave kiddo." I chuckled and took a Bite out of my pancakes. I, "what made you fall in love with grandma?" Grandpa, "her laugh." He had a daze look on his face. Grandpa, "I walked into the dinner and heard her. Her laugh made people smile and laugh with her. It was intoxicating. Then she turned and her eyes were light Brown with green specks floating around her pupil. I knew then I was in love." I, "that's really romantic gramps." He smiled. Grandpa, "when you meet your soulmate you'll feel it." His hand traced the tattoo on his wrist. It was my grandma's initials.

I got a lot of presents. Jen, "how does it feel?" I, " it feels normal." She laughed. Tim, "way to be realistic Reina." I, "i try." They all laughed. Kate came in with a overly tan man. Kate, "Jen, Tim,
Reina, and Kevin meet Ian my soulmate." We all Smiled. Ian, "hey." He looked at us and rolled his eyes. Kate just smiled and leaned on him. Kevin, "I need to get some more juice." He walked away. I, "I think someone's calling my name." I chased after kevin. I, "hey wait up." Kevin, "it still hurts." We went inside. I slide the door closed. I, "I know. It was messed up for Kate to just dump you like that. But kevin you deserve better. Ian looks superficial and Kate has always acted better than everyone. They deserve each other. But you kevin will get the best soulmate anyone can ask for." He hugged me. Kevin, "you'll  get the best soulmate out there too. You deserve it." I took a glance at my arm. I winced slightly.  I, "now let's get out there and show Kate you are better off." He smiled real big. Kevin, "thanks reina." I, "I'm just doing my job." He chuckled and hugged me. I, "and I got him to smiled and laughed. I am amazing." He pushed me lightly.
