2. Iwo Jima

A 10-year-old Izuku was left broken and bleeding on the sands of Takoba Municipal Beach close to the sea which had started going out. Bakugo and his cronies stared down at Izuku's beaten and broken form and sneered "You're so pathetic you should just fucking die" he then kicked Izuku in the stomach sending him into the water "Just save us all the trouble and fucking drown, pray for a more heroic quirk in the next life, heh happy fucking birthday" he then stomped on Izuku's head knocking him out before he and his sidekicks leaving Izuku lying in the water with the sun rising above him.

no one looked back for if they did, they would see Izuku's body being taken away by the waves. Izuku was taken out to sea floating amongst the waves, and he only started to awake when the full moon was high in the air. Izuku awoke as he felt the energy of the night seeping into his body rejuvenating him and allowing him to recover much faster than before now that he wasn't constantly being injured it gave his regeneration time to catch up on healing all of his injuries without new ones replacing them. he closed his eyes taking in the rejuvenating feeling of his body healing and used that time to think about how he got here, years of being abused meant that he became used to waking up in unfamiliar situations which is why he was so calm, the last thing he remembered was Bakugo kicking him into the water then knocking him out which meant that the retreating waves must have taken him with them.

Izuku opened his eyes feeling his 24 broken ribs finally set back into place and with that pain gone he noticed a strange feeling on his neck and in his lungs but he didn't have time to focus on that as he rose into an upright position and tried to look around him as he trod water he didn't see main land Japan so the currents must have taken him quite far and since sunrise was about 5 AM with Bakugo getting up early just to give Izuku a special birthday beating, this meant he had been out for nearly 19 hours. some good news was that he could see a small island in the distance so with his body being much better with 19 hours of uninterrupted recovery he swam towards the island.

By the time Izuku got to the island the sun had started to rise, the island was a lot further away than he thought so when he got to land, he got a distance away from the water before he laid down and started breathing heavily. after a few minutes, his breathing calmed down and he got up to explore the island. after a couple of hours, Izuku got off the beach and passed through the forest until he reached the centre of the island where he found a dilapidated military base with a broken-down runway going down the middle. he looked around seeing if he could find something to gain information on where he was, he ended up seeing signs on different buildings and recognized some of the kanji so he realized that this must be a Japanese island.

Knowing that he wasn't too far away from Japan calmed him down but he was still in an unknown place so he needed more information, and what better place than a library, he was surprised to find one in a place like this after looking around for a while he finds a map and discovers that he is on the island of Iwo Jima, since the island was deserted he wanted more information. he found the history section and started reading about the history of the island, he couldn't understand all the kanji as he had only been in school for 4 years but he could read enough to know that it was a military base that was used in the early from 1945 to the early 2000s, the last entry that he could find was a small collection of papers detailing soldiers last days her before leaving as tensions between Japan and America grew causing both sides to abandon the island as America used it to host something but Izuku didn't know what. it was agreed that the island would be abandoned. apparently, a historian wanted to leave a record of all these events on the island just in case anyone were to find the island and so they could know what happened to the island. Izuku, deciding he had done enough reading decides he needs to find a place to sleep.

He needed a secure place to sleep as while coming into the base Izuku noticed marks of different animals on the island even some wolf tracks, so he was extremely lucky that he didn't encounter anything. With his quirk giving him boosted intelligence allowed him to realise that the wild animals that were allowed to live on the island evolved and expanded their numbers over time, a few heartless people even decided to leave pets behind this caused allowed different forms of animals and wildlife to grow and flourish as the pets had become more feral and eventually over the centuries that past they evolved and grew bigger the dogs slowly became more wolf-like over time, all of the other animals evolved into their former forms and grew much bigger. what Izuku didn't know was that the island was also a volcanic one so over the centuries it expanded in size joining up with multiple volcanic islands known as the Bonin islands.
