P.s. sorry for the end. I am the monster at the end of the book....

Everything has finally gone back to business as usual. You and the Winchesters may have spent some time off, at Dean's request, but after a series of strange "dreams," he is back on the horse. He hasn't said anything to you or to Sam about the events Zachariah had put him through, but he doesn't seem all that bothered anymore. Sometimes he will say things to you that seem off, but just as you're about to question him, he changes the subject.

"Have you ever thought about having kids?" Dean asked on one particularly normal night after settling into a motel.

"Kids?" You laughed, "I don't think I've given it much thought... it'd be hard to do with our line of work."

"Yeah... you're right... Want take out?" He asked.

Another night he questioned you at dinner, asking, "hey, weird question, but uh — do you think Sam is... uhm... you know? Hot?"

You nearly spat your food out all over the table. "What?" You asked, "no! What would make you think that?"

"Oh I don't know... he's a cute guy, right?" Dean urged.

"I mean... he's like a brother to me... so no?" You had questioned, your eyes amused yet concerned.

"Right... I'm gonna get another beer..."

Today there is no strange questions, or weird behavior from Dean, or anyone else as you take the lead into a comic book store. Each of you are dressed in your best business clothes, chasing a lead about a possible ghost, and hoping it doesn't end up being a dead end. It's just another day at the office, but this particular case has little to go off of. Other than a few strange things happening, — a killing of a young woman, and an abnormal drought — this town couldn't be more normal. That being said, you've chased cases with less evidence, so why not try to find something.

This interrogation is routine, with little to nothing out of the ordinary. Dean introduces himself, you, and Sam as detectives, pulling out random band member names from the top of his head. He asks the man about any weird occurrences happening in the building, — flickering lights, strange sightings, that kind of thing.

"Uh... I don't think so, why?" The comic book store employee replies.

"What about noises?" Sam asks next, "skittering in the walls? Kind of like rats?"

"And the FBI is investigating a rodent problem?" The man asks.

"What about cold spots?" You wonder, "feel any sudden drops in temperature?"

The bald man in front of you leans back in his chair and gives you a broad smile. "I knew it!" He exclaims. "You three are LARPING, aren't you?"

"Excuse me?" Dean asks, not understanding what this man is insinuating.

"You're fans!" The man continues.

"Fans of what?" You ask.

"What is 'LARPING?'" Dean adds.

"Like you don't know," the man behind the counter jests. He looks at each of your confused faces and explains, "Live-action role-playing. And pretty hardcore, too."

"I'm sorry, I have no idea what you're talking about," Dean politely states.

"You're asking questions like the building's haunted. Like that trio from the books," the man further explains, "what are they called? Uh... 'Supernatural.'"
