WARNING: MENTIONS OF INJURIES, ROAD INCIDENT
_______

Sirens pierced my ringing ears as I regained my consciousness. Hearing my name getting more and more clear as the silhouette reaching for me yelled out.

My arms lay limp at my sides, my head throbbed as the blur constricting my eyesight slowly decreased.

I felt a hand gently grab my shoulder attempting to gain my attention.

"Natasha??" A worried voice next to me fully catching me back to reality.

The realisation of who was beside me hit me as I attempted to twist my body letting me catch a glimpse of who it was.

"Charles.." a weak sob escaped my mouth.

Agonising pain shot through my body as I tried to pull myself toward him in attempt to get out of the destroyed vehicle. The glass from the window that was attached to the drivers seat door crunched at any movement.

The best way out was the passenger door as the door I would usually exit out of was crushed from the impact.

"Excuse me sir, we will take it from here please stand back." A paramedic spoke out to Charles over the large commotion.

"Help her, please." His voice shaky.

Blood dripped down my face due to my forehead bashing off the window as we collided. The tears in my eyes built up over and over again after each tear dropped.

"Ma'am, can you see and hear me?" The paramedic spoke.

"Yes, please get me out of here." My voice croaked.

After I had been able to get over to the door, I was placed on a stretcher.

"Natasha!" I saw Victoria sprinting over to me, ignoring the people attempting to stop her.

She jumped into the ambulance I had been placed into, Charles followed behind her with Alex by his side. Victoria's tall figure was stood next to me with teary eyes.

"What happened?!" The worry in Victoria's voice made me grasp a hold of her hand.

"Some fucking ass hole ran a red light." Charles spoke through gritted teeth.

A paramedic climbed into the back of the ambulance as Charles stepped out to allow us to go to the hospital.

The doors shut, and the sirens began. My body ached and shivered, attempting to process what I had just experienced.

"What if I can't race again?" I broke the silence with a weak voice.

"Don't worry my girl, your going to be okay." Victoria assured me as she rubbed my arm.

I felt as if I dropped into some sort of hellish reality, feeling my heart drop every time I thought about what could potentially be the outcome of all of this.

All the pain from each of my injuries that I couldn't even name, rushed back all at once.

The ambulance came to a stop outside the emergency area of the hospital, the doors quickly opened and I was dragged out on my stretcher.

Doctors and nurses rushed to my aid, surrounding me as I was pushed to one of the emergency rooms.

The mutters from the conversations of the people above me overwhelmed me, was it really that bad?

They placed me into a bed and carried on scurrying around, doing what looked like nothing.

"Okay Natasha, how are you feeling? Before we get you into an x-ray we are going to clean up any wounds that you have and also check the severity of them." The nurse who had entered the room stressed informed me.

"Pretty shit." I coughed.

Firstly, they started clearing up the throbbing cuts down my fore arm every dab of whatever chemical they were using made me flinch in pain.

After wrapping up my arm they moved to the large cut on my forehead that was still bleeding large amounts, they carried on by telling me I need stitches.

I had my forehead stitched up, as well as that all my other countless wounds had been cleaned up and bandaged.

I was taken to be put underneath an x-ray to check if I had broken anything, I was certain I had broken my arm due to the immense pain that I had to endure every time I moved it in the slightest.

The results came through, it had shown that I had broken my arm and leg, both on the left side. Most likely because of the fact both were rattled when hit off the door of the car as I crashed.

I lay back in the hospital bed with Victoria sat next to me, a loud, fast knock echoed through the room.

"Natasha?!" My dad burst into the room, rushing over to where I had been resting.

Instantly, burning tears started rolling down my cheeks as he took me into a long embrace. My sobs disrupting the silence.

"Are you okay? Charles told me what happened." He asked me worried while affectionately rubbing my arm.

"I'll be okay." I cracked a smile.

Victoria was stood at the end of the hospital bed, wiping away a tear as she watched our emotional interaction.

A new doctor opened the door as my dad took a step back from me.

"Sorry to interrupt, I just need to have a quick chat with Natasha." The doctor spoke in a thick British accent as he walked in.

I quickly glanced at my dad that was looking back at me, then made eye contact with the doctor that was now stood leaning on the end of the bed.

"Unfortunately, you will have to stay hospitalised for a few days until we get your casts on." The doctor informed me regretfully.

"When can I get out? I was meant to be in Jeddah by tomorrow." I could feel the lump in my throat as I looked at my dad with worried eyes.

"The quickest we could get you out would be Friday as we do have to wait for your swelling to go down." His eyes went softer as he spoke.

"Shit." I muttered.

"Can we get a minutes privacy, please?" My dad politely requested.

"Of course, sir." The doctor smiled then proceeded to walk out.

As soon as the door clicked shut, I burst into tears. The realisation hit me like a fucking train.

How long would I be out of racing for?

"I'm sorry dad." I sobbed.

"Don't be sorry, this isn't your fault. I'll have Liam temporarily replace you until you are recovered and ready to race again." He and Victoria consoled me.

"Thank you dad, I love you." I wiped a tear as I spoke.

"Oh darling, I really want to stay with you but I have to get on my flight." His voice changed to sadness.

"It's okay, I completely understand. Your going to miss it if you don't go now!" I gave him a smile assuring him that I would be okay with my eyes.

"Victoria, will you be okay staying alone with her for the next few days?" He checked, looking up at Victoria.

"Of course, I'll be completely fine." She beamed.

"Thank you so much." He thanked her sincerely.

The door loudly shut as he left, making tears build up in my eyes for what felt like the hundredth time.

Suddenly, the door clicked open and a voice that I could easily recognise came from the space in the hospital corridor.

"Hello?"

Charles.
