Waking up I instantly feel like I'm going to be sick. I don't want to watch the games, but I should to show my support to Coriolanus and Lucy Gray. Before I even stretch my legs out of the bed, I push my window open lighting up a cigarette, shakily pursing my lips around it. Resting my head back onto my pillow I close my eyes again, allowing the birds outside my window and the sounds of the city calm me.

Come on Lucy Gray.

Tigris makes her way over to my house where I set up a spread of cheeses and jams with cracker and bread to have incase we need a snack to watch children kill each other, like normal people do. A bottle of tequila nexts to us just incase it calls for day drinking. I sit cross legged on my bed, an oversized baby blue cashmere sweater paired with black wide legged slacks with my hair pinned back in a blue bow. My accessories include a cigarette placed in between my pointer and middle finger.

"I don't know if I can watch the beginning, I never can," Tigris shoves her face in her hands, glad we both decided not to wear makeup today. Her outfit is similar to mine however she wears a red form fitting sweater.

"Don't worry I'll watch for you," I take a drag, my heart racing as the announcer begins the countdown.

The alarm sounds and several run to the weapons while other stand still or run away to hide. Lucy Gray is just standing there. What the Fuck is she doing? "Run!" I yell causing Tigris to peak through her fingers.

"Run Lucy Gray!" I stand on my bed, rattling the tray of food and ashes falling on my sheets. "Run! Why are you standing there?" A few of the other tributes already fall a buzzer announcing a death. The one with the trident is taking out people left and right and obviously targeting our songbird from district 12. Finally she starts running towards the boy from 12 as they disappear into a hole in the ground where a split camera angle changes following their every move.

Things seem to calm down and Tigris and I take a breath. The camera angle switching every couple of minutes to catch up on everyone, including a few angles from inside the academy where I see a familiar curly haired handsome man focusing on the tv in front of him. I can only imagine how he's feeling, I almost threw perfectly good food out of window along with my cigs, but lord knows I'm not strong enough to do that.

As the sun sets I drive Tigris back to her home giving her the leftover cheese and crackers for their Grandma'am and Coriolanus. I park the car and follow her up the endless flights of stairs to greet her family. Once we reach the door we hear muffled talking, Tigris raises an eyebrow at me and opens the door. Inside an unfamiliar woman sits in the living room with Grandma'am.

"Mrs. Plinth, what a surprise. what are you doing here?" Tigris asks greeting Grandma'am with a kiss on each cheek. I follow greeting Grandma'am who holds me in a longer than expected hug.

"Oh Tigris, I can't find my baby boy and I know he considers sweet Coriolanus a friend, I was asking Grandma'am if your cousin was home yet, but his head really seems to be in the games," Mrs. Plinth dabs her eyes. "Hello dear I'm Mrs. Plinth, Sejanus' Ma." She reaches out a gloved hand as I lean forward softly shaking it.

Ohhhh, Sejanus Plinth, now it all makes sense.

Just as 'Ma' starts to stand, Coriolanus walks into the house, his school uniform untucked and the top button undone. He stops suddenly seeing everyone gathered in the living room.

"Oh Coriolanus there you are. I was just about to leave, did you see my Sejanus after his dear friend Marcus made an appearance at the games?" She asks politely, her handbag held to her chest.

"No Mrs. Plinth I did not see him after that, I'm sorry. I'm sure he'll turn up at home sometime. Maybe just blowing off steam?" Coriolanus suggests running a hand through his hair looking extremely exhausted. His gaze stops on me and his eyes lighten for a moment, his facial features softening. I throw a wink his way.

"Oh dear lord, there he is!" Ma suddenly exclaims causing Tigris and I to jump slightly in our chairs. All of our focus moves to the TV as Sejanus is standing above Marcus sprinkling something over top of him. "Oh my dear boy, Sejanus!"

That boy is in the arena. I turn back to Coriolanus and his jaw ticks, face darkening.
