Ash searched everywhere, but Soul was nowhere to be found. Zuri tried to search, but her girlfriend wouldn't let them, Blaze looked. Everyone searched. Yet nothing. Meanwhile Soul followed the footprints, the night was cold as it rained. Her usual grey hair now black, she could see her breath. She held her axe with anger, her steps made a trail as rain filled them. The trees seemed bigger, the forest animals watched her. The forest overgrown. She tripped here and there on roots, rocks, and plants. The tracks slowly disappearing, but she wasn't going to just give up.
People started searching the forest, homes, anywhere, still nothing. "Okay we'll have to look in the morning-" "She'll die in the cold! We can't leave her!" Cried Blaze, he had to stop and go inside as the rain fell. Being a blaze, he burned to the touch of water. "We can't risk anyone! She's just going to have to try to survive" Ash sighed. "Ma'am! We found tracks!" One of the soldiers spoke. "Where?" "Near- where the attacker tracks were" Everyone immediately stopped. Soul wouldn't follow it....would she? "Goddammit, let's move out, those tracks go near the snowy mountains, no tellings how far she's gone"
Soul wished she'd come better prepared. All she wore was a black tank top, with an iron chesplate over it, tan pants, black boots, and fingerless black gloves, but luckily she had her red cape. She then saw a house, the faded tracks let straight to the door. She held her axe tighter, as she swung with all her strength, smashing the door to pieces. Someone jumped and hid. "Quit hiding you stupid bitch!" She kicked over a chair, as the person moved hiding behind the couch. "Hiding won't help you" the axe smashed through the couch, with little effort. The person kept trying to hide. "Now you little basterd" the axe broke down the door to the room they were hiding in. "Why did you take a life from Zuri"
As Ash and the others walked through the woods, the tracks went dead. "Fuck!" Ash punched the nearest tree. "We have to keep looking" "but ma'am-" "I said keep looking!" It was clear Ash was worried and pissed. Then a yell. "Follow the yell!" The people immediately started running to the sound. They saw a smashed door, the furniture inside was destroyed. Ash ran into a room, the window was broken.
Meanwhile with Soul
Soul's eyes went wide as she saw the person. "You- you hurt Zuri?! How could you!" "I got payment, you know me. I'll do anything for a quick check" the person spoke. Soul was disgusted, she trusted him, they did everything together. Soul felt oddly warm. "Aww the little hero cold?" He mocked. Snow fell from the sky, as it only got colder. "Soul-" Ash stopped. "You- traitor!" She screamed at Logan. "So what? Zuri has 3 lives left" he scoffed. Everything sounded far away, as Soul slowly blinked. She felt....tired, she was warm, just like back in Bellsburg. "Soul? Soul? Soul can you hear me? Don't go to sleep, Soul stay with me" she heard a voice say. Someone grabbed her, when did she fall on the ground? "We need something warm! Hang on, please, sta- me" the person's voice cut off. Then everything went dark.
