Chapter 8 "Stranger"

Farming is actually a technical job, such as tomato, carob, and cucumber seedlings, which all require setting up some bamboo poles to facilitate the climbing of the plants.

But corn fields need some nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium fertilizers, and some plants also need greenhouses to survive.

At the moment, Jiang Yan has no intention of getting into a high-end planting environment like a greenhouse. First, there is no iron support, and second, it is time-consuming and labor-intensive. Now Jiang Yan needs to plant the land as soon as possible.

All the weeds were cleared away, making the entire vegetable field much tidier. After carrying all the weeds to the corn field, Jiang Yan took out the flint and used some dry firewood to light the weeds.

The purpose of this is not because weeds have no effect, but because the dried plant ash contains some potassium fertilizer, which is suitable for the growth of corn.

Facing the fire, Jiang Yan inserted the bamboo pole next to the seedling, and then took out a string and tied the seedling to the bamboo pole.

The purpose of inserting bamboo poles is relatively simple. On the one hand, photosynthesis will be more complete. On the other hand, it will save space and will not rot due to moisture.

Squatting on the ground, Jiang Yan inserted the bamboo poles into the ground one by one, then pulled out strips of cloth from the bamboo basket and tied the seedlings that could still grow on them.

  This binding lasted six hours.

Six hours of hard work made Jiang Yan's eyes blurry. Although this work was not tiring, it was very draining. At this moment, Jiang Yan was even a little confused.

Holding on to her knees, Jiang Yan stood up, stretching her body after sitting for a long time, which made Jiang Yan's muscles and bones crackle. She stretched. Jiang Yan looked at the neatly arranged vegetable garden and sat down on the Taishi chair with a miserable expression.

  "Ho ho."

Seeing Jiang Yan finally finished his work, Zhao Dabai hurriedly chased after the latter. He looked at Jiang Yan on the Grand Master's chair with eyes full of anticipation.

"Zhao Dabai, cook me some food." Looking at the latter, Jiang Yan said weakly.

Hearing these words, Zhao Dabai was furious. He had been waiting for so long just to get Jiang Yan to get him something delicious. But now, Jiang Yan actually wants him to cook. Can he?

After snoring, Zhao Dabai turned around angrily and saw the burned ashes in the corn field, rolling around like crazy.

"Yeah! Help me spread the ash evenly."

Seeing that the hungry Zhao Dabai was the first to help him fertilize, Jiang Yan, who was sitting on the Grand Master's chair, praised weakly.

After taking a nap in the sun for a while, Jiang Yan's tired spirit finally recovered. Maybe he slept for an hour, maybe half an hour. Jiang Yan didn't know how long it had been, but it seemed that it wasn't dusk yet.

Struggling to get up, Jiang Yan walked to the vegetable garden, collected some rotten vegetables, then walked to the well and washed them carefully.

Growing vegetables in rural areas does not entirely rely on seeds. Some of them are purchased ready-made plants, such as tomatoes.

But now Jiang Yan can no longer buy tomatoes. Fortunately, he learned some cultivation methods when he was a child. He hopes that with this method, these seeds can grow again.
