"For how big of a game he talks, of course Oluo would be the rookie to piss himself"

The other scout laughed. "Nah it's always the cocky ones who get scared sh*tless or in this case piss less."

The two cackled with laughter.

Petra was only a few paces behind them, feeling a pang of guilt.

Ever since they had returned, Oluo had been  the butt of everyone's joke. She was grateful that everyone had been so focused on Oluo and then getting back to the safety of the walls that no one bothered to ask why she had his jacket around her waist.

Petra wanted to tell the two older scouts in front of her to just back off, but she hesitated.

Petra had tried to console Oluo about the teasing last night, but he had shrugged it off.

"If people need something to laugh at to take their minds off of the friends they lost then I'm ok with it"

Jack and Eli had lost two of their close friends and the squad leader.

"Maybe they just need a distraction" she thought.

The two turned left in the corridor as Petra made a right and went down stairs.

It didn't take long for Captain Levi to find out about Oluo pissing himself on the expedition. Oluo had looked visibly shaken as he came back from the Captains office they evening the came back.

Word had spread throughout the Survey Corps headquarters. Captain Miche couldn't help but make fun of Levi, and Captain Hange was sympathetic. Telling Oluo that "it showed he was human.

But she didn't hesitate to tease Levi when she thought they were alone. The day after they returned, Petra was heading towards the Captain's office to deliver her field medical report. The door was cracked and she heard voices.

"Hange you need to be more careful."

"I was so close to getting a Titan in captivity though...just think of what we could learn." Hange's excited voice came through the door.

"It's not worth your life" Levi said sternly, "it's..." his voice softened, "it's not worth losing you"

There was a brief silence.

"I'm sorry Levi...I know I can let my deep desire for knowledge get in my way. I guess I...if we could make some headway, maybe one day...we could just..."

"Have a normal life together, somewhere quiet" Levi finished her thought.

"I don't want you to give up your goals, just...please be more careful"

"I will Levi, I promise."

There was a longer silence, but Petra could see the shadows coming from the crack in the door.

"I guess Eld and Gunther were right." She thought.

After a while, Hange's voice carried through the door.

"I still can't believe it was one of your squad members that peed himself on their first time out!"

"He wasn't the only one four-eyes"

Hange was still laughing. "Yeah but no one in your squad ever loses their nerve. Your the great captain Levi...humanity's strongest, and shortest."

"Go to bed Hange"

Petra quickly moved from the door, turning the corner to make sure Levi and Hange hadn't caught her eavesdropping.

On top of the Captain chewing him out, Oluo was also assigned extra laundry duty for the next month. Which made Petra feel even more guilty.
