There was once a boy
Who wasn't that old
Who said that one day
He would change the world
So he prayed to God
And asked for a sign
That someone would come
And tell him, "It's time."
He waited a month
To meet this one man
But he didn't show
According to plan
And so he prayed again
And asked for a sign
He knelt then told Him
"God, give a reply"
Then the years would pass
And the trees would grow
That someone he hoped
Did not again show
He was now a lad
Still with many dreams
Yet he only waited
For the guy it seemed
He did nothing new
Only ate and drank
He slept everyday
His life became blank
But he prayed to God
Every single day
Hoping that one night
He would find his way
And so he waited
And the years passed too
He now became old
And his face turned blue
And on his death bed
He prayed one last time
Asking God to tell
When he will arrive
But no one came by
And the dying man frowned
He took his last breath
As his hand fell down
When he reached heaven
He soon talked to God
He asked Him one thing
"Where was the man, God?"
At first was silence
That came all around
God then spoke to him
And uttered His sound
"Child, you have waited
When you could have known
That the man I sent
Was you all along"
