Chapter 3: part 1: ERROR@#$%^&*

''now, you two, i wonder, what will be of you if we do nothing to catch this human and take his soul? this soul from his timeline has power levels beyond our comprehension. when we get it, i will use it to create my perfect world'' 

Xgaster was floating through a timeline folder. beside him was his assistant, X!Alphys, and two evil versions of Sans. one of them has a black skull, with a black jacket and red shirt, plus blue electricity string from his eyes, and the words ''error'' appearing for brief seconds before disappearing only to reappear moments later. the other was a goopish Sans, covered in all goop, with one of his eyes being covered by goop, and he had a cyan eye, and 4 tentacles.

''now then, you two. i have called you in because i have searched through this universe, and other multiverses. and now.... i have found you two, the two i need. you two have some of the highest power levels of your counterparts in other timelines, dimensions, universes, you know the rest.'' X!Gaster continued.

''and if all else fails....''

he then showcased a purple button, with the words OVERWRITE plastered on.

''what is the point of this button?'' the one with the blue strings asked.

''curious, arn't we?'' X!Gaster smirked. ''well then, Error. watch closely. now, attack me.''

to his reluctance, Error summoned a wall of gaster blasters, but in another instance, X!Gaster pressed the button, then the wall of blasters disappeared. 

''how-'' was all Error could muster. X!Gaster then told him ''this, eccentric Sans, is what OVERWRITE does. it can change anything. it dosn't matter how small or how big.'' 

''if it can do all that, then why not use it to decimate everything that stands in our path now? we could destroy Dream easier'' the goopier Sans pointed.

''patience, Nightmare. where is the fun in instantly gaining what you have wanted for so long, when there is no challenge whatsoever? where is the fun in your tyranny when there is no one to oppose you? i have learnt a thing or two from watching several universes as an attempt to find flaws in them, so i can change them'' X!Gaster continued monologuing. 

''what's so special about the boy? he's just that: a boy'' Erro questioned as Nightmare tiptoed away.

''impudent idiot. this soul is more then what you think. he is not just a boy. in his universe, he is more powerful then any human could aspire. you need to understand, he is able to RESET time to a specific point. he is able to keep going even in death. this soul is called DETERMINATION. in his universe, he is the last human with it.'' was X!Gaster's response, then he noticed Nightmare sneaking out. ''where do you think you are going, Nightmare?'' 

''getting the old gang to prepare for a major poaching'' Nightmare smirked.

''i see... but you should understand, there is another soul more powerful then most... it is called HATE. and it is black as night, yet almost as powerful.'' X!Gaster continued.

''and there are two more newly discovered souls....

Trust. and might.

but it is the DETERMINATION soul i am intrigued by. 

and i will not stop until it is in my grasp.

so he must be ready....

i will be coming....

Meanwhile

''alright, my dastardly, beastly friends'' Nightmare smirked as he walked with his hand behind his back. ''we are targeting a 16-year old boy. one who's potential has yet to be realized, or to be awakened. his soul will be ours. but i know the one in his timeline who is holding the HATE soul in said timeline. we must first kidnap the one person most precious to him. now then, is that made clear, villain sans squad?'' 

''yes.'' the group said. there were three Sanses in the group, who looked like the classic one, but with a few distinguishing features each. one of them, called Horrer, had a crack in his skull, and a red eye, and was carrying an axe. there was also the Sans with the knife and black, goopy eyes and red circle for a soul. and then, there was the final one, Dust, who had his hoodie on, and his eyes were red and purple. alongside him was a ghostly Papyrus head, with pure glowing red eyes, a tattered yet still intact scarf, and red hands. this Papyrus was a mere hallucination, but it was one that felt real.

however, unbeknownst to Nightmare, Dust was beginning to doubt his motives, and what life is know that he has successfully killed the human in his timeline.

[Writer's note: hey everyone. sorry i have to split this chapter in half. there is a lot of this story to uncover. i might make .5 chapters as in betweeners. i'll try finishing this by the end of the year. if i don't.... i'll keep going. i don't give a fuck]
