Alexis' POV

(Two months later)

Excitement. That one word sums up nearly every feeling I have rushing through me.

Hayden and I have been trying for a baby for the past two months. What he doesn't know is I think I am pregnant.

Dawn, Hayden's cousin, has become my best friend here and I often babysit Timothy for her, he is so cute and pulls the funniest faces at me.

"You think you’re what!?" Dawn exclaims once I tell her I think that I'm pregnant.

"Pregnant!" I squeal, barley able to contain my excitement.

"Are you sure? Have you done a test yet?" She interrogates, "if you haven't done a test we better get you one pronto!" She shouts, grabbing my arm and dragging me towards the front door.

We speed to the pharmacy and grab about eight different types of test the head home. I know Hayden won't be there as he has gone away for the next few weeks to help another packs alpha that is having trouble keeping control over his pack.

"Come on! Here drink this then pee on these" Dawn orders me, passing me a massive bottle of lemonade and the bag containing the pregnancy tests.

Quickly I make my way to the bathroom and lock the door. I gulp down half the bottle of lemonade and grab four packs of tests, theirs two in each pack, so I quickly pee on the eight of them and place the face down on the counter. I then repeat the process for the others.

"Well?" Dawn calls, knocking lightly on the door.

I get up and open the door, letting her in. I look at the clock, two minutes to go.

"We have to wait two minutes then all of the tests will be done" I inform her, wringing my suddenly sweaty hands. Suddenly my nervousness side hits me, "oh god, what have I got myself into, I will be an awful mum! I can't look after a baby! What if Hayden doesn't want the baby, I didn’t think this through, what if..."

"Hey, clam down" Dawn soothes, pulling me into her warm embrace "you will be a wonderful mum, look how good you are with Timothy, he loves you! And Hayden absolutely adores babies, all he's ever wanted is a house full if children" she tells me, her voice soothing yet excited at the same time.

The tests beep, all going off at the same time, telling me that try are ready to reveal my future. I turn towards them hesitantly, my earlier excitement gone as it is replaced by fear and nervousness.

I turn over the first two, two pink pluses signs sit proudly on the screens, I turn over the next two, smiley faces smile happily back at me, then the next the word pregnant flashes on and off.

The same result sits on every test. The very last two still lay un-turned, I flip them over 'pregnant - two months' sits on both screens.
