Alexis’ P.O.V
Four years later
“Noah! Put those down!” I rush over to him, taking the pair of scissors from his hands.
“But mummy!” He whines at me, pouting.
I crouch down to his height, “Noah, baby, what have I told you about playing with sharp things?” I ask him.
“Not to” He mumbles, eyes cast downwards.
“Now, you’re going to have to sit on the time out seat for four minutes, ok?” I scold him, leading him to the time out seat and placing him on it before starting the timer.
I hate doing this, but with six crazy pups running around the house I have no way of keeping control if I don’t discipline them.
Noah, Chase and Bentley are now four, and have more energy than I thought possible. Noah was the most dominant of the triplets, and Chase follows closely behind, helping his brother keep control of all the other pups. Bentley on the other hand is much smaller than the other two triplets. He is very shy and Noah and Chase are very protective of him.
Then we have the twins, Christian Oliver and Brooklyn Eva-Savannah, named after their granddad and aunts.
They are two and a half, and as predicted, Brook was Hayden’s little princess. When I had announced my pregnancy, Hayden had been ecstatic, and then he fainted, which was quite amusing for me.
But now, two and a half years since their birth, they were already showing confidence like their older brothers.
Now our sixth child, Ashton, who is three months, is adopted. His parents, Michael and Emma Rhys died in a car crash a month ago, and they have no other family. They were both only children and their parents dead many years ago. Therefore, as the Alpha couple we are responsible for pack members, and so we took him in, and we couldn’t be happier with our little family.
“Ok, Noah, can you tell mummy why you’re on the time out seat?” I ask him, holding his hands in mine.
“Because I was playing with the scissors, mummy” he tells me, tears on his cheeks, sniffing as his noes runs.
“Good boy, now give mummy a kiss and cuddle” I tell him, and he flies into my arms, I kiss his cheeks and wipe away his tears, then he runs off to the games room to find my dad, his granddad.
I grab Ash from his baby bouncer and make up a bottle for him. I dislike the fact that I can’t provide breast milk for him, but this is the next best thing.
He smiles his gummy smile as I warm up his bottle. Soon the heater beeps and I take the bottle out, placing a few drops onto my wrist I check the temperature is right, and then place the teat against his mouth.
He takes is happily, and greedily suckles on the bottle. Soon he has finished the bottle and I sit down with him, and burp him.
“Mummy!” Bentley cries out.
I run quickly out to the garden, where I find Bentley on the floor, crying. His arm is at a funny angle and there is blood pooling on the floor, and I immediately know it is broken, but I don’t know where the blood is coming from.
“Hayden!” I cry out, panic and worry clear in my voice. “HELP!”
Hayden runs down the six flights of stairs of the pack house and into the garden, his eyes immediately find us and he runs over.
I clutch Ash in my left arm, whilst gently stroking Bentleys head. “Don’t move baby!” I tell him, leaning down to kiss his forehead.
“Hayden! Call the pack doctor!” I cry out, tears’ rolling down my face, my baby is all bloody and bruised, and I don’t know why.
