Sorry for the lack of updates. I've been struggling writing stories and stayed away a little from Stray Kids due to a certain release. But I'm back and looking forward to their new album. This time, I won't get it as I wanted to pre-order Dreamcatcher's new album.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy this little imagine that I wrote a while ago.
No one told Navi how hard it would be to have her relationship publicly revealed. But she should have known. PANDORA wasn't as popular as Stray Kids were, so of course a lot of people were going to throw shade at her. Some accussed her for being a gold digger, while others were convinced she was trying to get more fame by dating Changbin.
She started to get afraid to share anything on social media, scared of all the hate and negativity she would receive in her comments. Navi's band members suggested to continue posting, that she didn't have to look through the comments. However, it wasn't as easy as they thought. They weren't dealing with the constant hate for dating one of the biggest idols in the industry.
Dealing with their busy schedules wasn't easy as well. Yet they still did it. Changbin always made sure to send Navi good morning messages. And if he had enough free time, he would call her so they could chat face to face. Whenever that happened, Changbin always had a way to cheer Navi up. He made her happy and in the end their love would be stronger than all of the hate.
"Are you free tomorrow? Manager-Nim told us we could have a day off from work, so I was hoping we could spend the day together. It's been a while since we went out on a date."
"I'm free tomorrow. I was gonna have a lazy day, but seeing you sounds much more fun."
Navi had just finished her shower when Changbin called. With a towel wrapped around her, she picked up his call. He was video calling her, however she turned off her camera since she felt a little embarrassed to show her boyfriend she wasn't wearing clothes.
"Baby, can you turn on the camera? I wanna see you."
"Just give me a few minutes until I've put on some clothes."
She put her phone down on her bed, noticing Changbin was looking around him. Navi had a feeling he wanted to make sure there was no one around. But she wasn't really sure why since no one could even see her. She did notice he was flustered.
"You can't just tease me like this. Turn on your camera, I wanna see. Are you alone? I'm alone."
"I'm so close to ending this call right now. I'm dressed now, so get your dirty mind cleaned."
"Babe, it's too late for that. But I'll behave, I miss you and just want to hear your voice for a while. I've been so busy and I feel like a shit boyfriend."
It was true they had been busy, which is why they hadn't talked much. Moments like those made Navi think about the hate she was getting anymore. If she didn't have Changbin to distract her, she wouldn't know how else to handle the negativity.
"Don't call yourself that, because you're not."
"I still feel like I am, Navi. I'm supposed to be there for you when things are tough. It hurts me when Moon and Yujin had to tell me you were breaking down. I couldn't be there for you, I should have been there for you."
Navi could remember that day clearly. It happened a few days ago, the day after the two companies revealed their relationship to the public eye. She was curious to see everyone's reaction to the news, excited even. But those feelings quickly changed when she saw the hate and the rumours.
She had a panic attack and her friends had to calm her down. Moon was the one who called Changbin first to let him know. She put him on speaker so he could talk to Navi, help her, but a few minutes after the start of the call, his manager made him end the call. A few hours later, Yujin updated Changbin on the situation.
"You tried to be there for me. I know you wanted to be there, but couldn't. Can we just forget about that moment? Please?"
"I promise I'll protect you, Navi. I love you, their words don't matter."
"I know, they shouldn't be affecting me this much. It'll get better, I hope."
Navi would still struggle to let Changbin know that she loved him too. He was the first one who conveyed his heart to her and understood she would need more time. Of course she loved him, he made her happy. It was just hard to express it.
"I really don't want to, but I have to go. Hyunjin is bugging me and trying to talk to me. So, I'll see you tomorrow? I'll pick you up for lunch."
"I can't wait. Goodnight, Bin."
