~Cynwise's POV~
It's been a quiet week, since Sir Pentious became a patron for the Hazbin Hotel. While everyone else was putting decorations in the main foyer, to celebrate Sir Pentious' first week in the hotel, and Alastor was in his room, doing what he does, I was in my room, sitting on my bed and thinking about what today will bring.
I closed my eyes and took a meditative position, calming my thoughts and my emotions, when my phone started ringing. I opened my eyes and grabbed my phone from my nightstand. It was Vox. At least it wasn't Valentino...
I swiped the answer option and held the phone over my audio receptor, "Good morning, Vox."
"Hey, Cyn. I have a little favor to ask." Vox greeted on the other end, "The Overlords are hosting a meeting about the upcoming Extermination today and Val, Velvette and I are swamped with today's schedule. Would you be a doll and represent us for the meeting?"
I lightly sighed and pinched the bridge of where my nose would me, "Are you sure someone like me would be welcomed? I'm not an Overlord, like you."
"Oh, I'm pretty sure you'll be allowed to attend. Just keep quiet and listen." Vox assured me, then added the last part in a low, threatening tone.
I lowered my head and let out a heavy sigh, "Whatever you wish, Vox."
Vox chuckled, "Good girl. Make sure you file a report on today's meeting. I want every juicy detail."
I nodded in defeat, "You got it."
With that, I hung up my phone and looked at my door. I took a breath and hopped off my bed to get dressed into something more formal and made my way to the exit of my room. As I reached for the doorknob, there was a knock. My right eye glitched like crazy, which indicated it was someone I know.
I opened the door and standing on the other side of the doorway was Alastor and five of Sir Pentious' Egg Bois.
I blinked, as the glitching stopped, and I gave him a small smile, "Good morning, Alastor. How can I help you?"
Alastor smiled at me, "Ah, Cyn. Just the mechanoid I wanted to see." He leaned slightly to my height, "I'm heading out for the day, and I was hoping you can accompany me? Get you out and about since you haven't left the hotel in nearly a week."
I rubbed my chin in recollection and nodded, "It has been a while, hasn't it? Sure, I'll accompany you."
Alastor beamed, "Wonderful."
With that, Alastor and I left the Hazbin Hotel and entered the streets of Pentagram City. It was a quiet journey, but then the Egg Bois started asking all sorts of random questions to Alastor and myself.
"Oh, boy! What's the plan, boss?" "I like your suit!" "Why are you always slouching? It's not good for you!" "What are the antlers for?" "Are you a ghost in a shell?" "Can I touch your staff thing?" "Are those your ears or is it your hair? I can't tell!"
Alastor and I stayed quiet, but you could tell Alastor was getting annoyed, despite having a smile plastered on his face. To be honest, I was getting a little annoyed too. How does Sir Pentious put up with the random questions and rambling is beyond me. But I guess patience is a truly a virtue.
Suddenly, my body started glitching like crazy and electricity sparked around my body, causing me to freeze and hug myself to try and calm them down. Alastor turned to me, then started looking around in alert.
While the Egg Bois looked at me in concern, "Hey! You're glitching again!" "Is that normal?" "Why does that happen?" "Is there a bad signal somewhere?"
A shadow passed us and stood up in front of Alastor and myself. It was a very tall and slender demon with spider-like features, such as four glowing eyes and a long, dark cloak.
