" lets go Sere ." Ash said as he put his cap on his head .

It has been 3 days since they have been staying in Slateport City and enjoying themselves . Today , they are heading to Mauville City for Ash's next gym battle .

" coming teddy bear ." Serena said to Ash as she also put her fedora on her head .

" another nickname ?" Ash asked with a blush .

" yeah , it is cute ." Serena said .

" sure is but is embarrassing too ." Ash said .

" don't worry , i will not speak in public ." Serena assured him and grabbed his arm meanwhile pikachu who was snickering on this jumped on Serena's shoulder .

" looks like pikachu agrees with me ." Serena said and Pikachu gave a thumbs up and Ash sighed .

" fine , you can call me that . lets go for now ." Ash said and she smiled and nodded .

They both set off to Mauville City arm in arm . keeping lucario by their side , they were tension free on their travel .

" pikachu , remember last time the battle was unfair . this time we will make it clear ." Ash said and pikachu nodded and cheered with determination .

" what happened last time ?" Serena asked .

Ash explained her the scene of Mauville gym that happened last time and she was surprised of that .

" so , you mean pikachu was supercharged and he one shot all his 3 pokemons ." Serena inquired and Ash nodded .

" wow , thats crazy . i hope this time he gets a good battle as well as you ." Serena said .

" you are not gonna be sending me ?" Lucario asked .

" i will see as i think pikachu deserves this gym but if he gets tired then you are up buddy ." Ash said and lucario smiled and nodded .

" lets walk for now ." Serena said and they nodded .

It took them 4 days to reach the city but they enjoyed the journey . Like on the day 1 , they both saw some small children playing and they interacted with them . on second day as they were out the city , they saw many small pokemons which they interacted with and had fun .

When camping , they had fun eating food in the forest and seeing stars in the night time . their relationship was getting strong as time went by and Serena wants that only .

Finally they have set their foot in the Mauville city and Ash is filled with determination to win his next badge but things are not the same for Serena .

" i am tired ." Serena groaned and was about to fall on the ground .

Before she touched the ground , she was caught by Ash who finally paid attention to her .

" hey Sere , are you fine ?" Ash asked .

" i am worn out completely ." Serena managed to say .

" we just need to get to a pokemon center then we can get a good night sleep ." Ash said and she hummed .

When Ash saw that she was not moving or walking by her own , he picked her up bridal style which resulted in a yelp from her .

" you are not walking and we won't get to pokemon center without walking so i need to do something ." Ash said and she blushed and smiled .

She wrapped her arms around his neck and enjoyed being carried in his arms . she closed her eyes and fell asleep in his arms only .

Ash reached the pokemon center with Serena in his arms and lucario was walking by his side with pikachu on lucario's shoulder . They got inside and people eyed Ash like he was a kidnapper .
