CHAPTER 01!

[ occurs during 1x13 - sectionals ]

December, 2009, Lima, Ohio

NOTHING SAID GOOD MORNING like a hallway filled with enthusiastic loud students. Which was what Cienna would have to endure every single morning of her life until she was finally finished with high school.

She held onto her side bag, moving through the sea of students as some of them waved her nicely as she passed by. She returned the greeting, making her way towards her locker, her mind rethinking over and over how much she wanted a coffee.

As if her God had heard her prayers, an armed liked through hers and a disposable cup of coffee appeared in front of her eyes.

Cienna's eyes opened widely at the sight and she turned to find Camila, one of her closest friends, giving her a big smile. "Got your text."

"Marry me, please." Cienna said in relief, unhooking her arm from her friend's to pass it over her shoulder and give her a side hug. She used her free hand to grab the coffee her friend was offering before resuming their walk together." I swear I almost killed mom today. Can you believe she mixed my uniform with her blue scrubs?! Now I have a blue and red Cheerios uniform!"

"Nah, don't kill Marissa. I love her brownies too much." Camila retorted, making Cienna snort loudly as they finally reached their lockers that were side by side. "Besides your back up looks fine and I don't mind supplying your coffee addiction. Perks of your dad owning the Lima Bean."

Cienna gave her best friend a bright smile before finally opening her looker and dropping the entire bag, except for her Biology books, inside. Biology was her favorite subject, so she didn't really mind the fact that she had a double period of it early on Mondays. What she did not enjoy was the fact that it was the only class she didn't share with her best friends, which was definitely kind of a bummer.

She pushed the thought away, knowing that she was going to meet her friends at lunch anyway, and closed her locker to face Cam. Cienna was about to open her mouth, but another person running and screaming their names caused them to turn around.

"Cienna! Cam! Hey, guys!" Mina was calling for them, waving her hand enthusiastically in the air as she moved quickly towards them. When she was about to reach them, her shoulder bumped into another student, who turned towards her with an annoyed expression. Obviously, Mina didn't really seem to notice. "Oops, sorry! Guys, oh, My God! Guess what?"

Mina gave us her brightest smile, the biggest and most contagious smile you could ever see someone wearing. Her Cherioos uniform swayed softly as she finished jogging towards us, her blonde her tightly wrapped in a ponytail with a Hello Kitty scrunchie. Cienna would always wonder how  the blonde girl managed to be so cute all the damn time.
