The group of 4, Yuuji, Megumi, Mei Mei, and Akari, had just arrived at Hashima Island.
And they were met with a haunting sight.
The once-thriving community had now become a ghostly shell, with only a scant population of around 30 individuals remaining. The island stood as a testament to forgotten memories and abandoned dreams.
"Yo, this place gives me the creeps..." Yuuji whispered, his voice barely audible over the sound of their footsteps on the pavements. The emptiness of Hashima Island sent shivers down his spine, an eerie feeling that seemed to seep into every nook and cranny.
Megumi nodded in agreement, his eyes scanning the worn-out buildings and the desolated night streets. He noticed how the area had overgrown vegetation that surrounded them. "It's like stepping into a ghost town," he remarked, his voice tinged with unease.
Mei Mei, unfazed by the gloomy atmosphere, forged ahead. "Remember, we're here to find this... Kozue," she reminded the group, her voice calm and steady. "Let's focus on our objective. Remember what Satoru said? Stay alert."
Akari, who had been on the island before, led the way through the paths, taking confident steps. "Kozue's knowledge of the blue spider lily is crucial," she chimed in, her voice carrying a hint of anxiousness. "We must find them and uncover the truth the flower holds."
Their journey through the desolation felt like an eternity, the silence broken only by the rustling of leaves and the distant sound of waves crashing against the shore.
Finally, after what seemed like an arduous trek, the group stumbled upon the correct address.
The group stared at the forest in front of them.
They gave each other side-eyes before waltzing along the overgrown pathway, silently walking.
After some time, the group stumbled upon a dilapidated structure that stood hidden deep within the surrounding woods, a forgotten sanctuary amid abandonment.
As they approached the weathered door, a sense of anticipation filled the air.
The group paused for a moment, exchanging glances filled with a mix of trepidation. Taking a deep breath, Mei Mei knocked on the door.
There was no answer.
Being very impatient, she pushed the door open, revealing a dimly lit interior that held the promise of revelations.
As the group of four settled into the cozy cabin, their eyes turned to a figure.
With their hair slightly long and black with captivating purple eyes, exuded an air of wisdom and intrigue.
Taking note of the footsteps, their head turns to look at the group as he smiles at them. "Please, come and sit." In front of him, were four cushions that were aligned together. The group sat down as Mei Mei perked up at the younger figure.
"Gakuganji had informed you, is that correct?" She confirmed, slightly moving her braided hair to the side. The younger figure smiled, looking down at the ground.
"I understand that you all are curious about the blue spider lily," they said, their voice gentle yet filled with authority. "But before we delve into its secrets, there is something you should know about the flower's connection to Y/n-san."
The group's eyebrows raised at the name as their attention solely focused on Kozue's every word. "The blue spider lily has chosen Yuuji's twin sister, Y/n, as its... "vessel". Though she may not be here with us physically, she unknowingly possesses the flower and shares a bond with it."
