Wednesday was now far away from her town, she took the bus and she was now hours away from her family and from the love of her life

That's when she realized that she's going to need to stay somewhere, and for that she needs to pay, Wednesday stole some money from her parents

She stole quite a bit a hundred dollars, Wednesday decided to look for apartments and see if she could rent one for herself

After hours of searching, it was dark outside and it began to get very cold, the goth saw a building that had a sign out 'apartment for rent'

Wednesday smiled, and walked into the building and quickly found the landlord "hey" the goth said the man looked at her "How can I help?"

The goth felt relived for a moment "I saw the sign outside, I was wondering how much for the apartment?" She asked

The man looked at his Notebook
"68 dollars for a month" he said after a few seconds of silence, perfect Wednesday thought "great I would like to rent it"

She said the man nodded "how old are you?" He asked and Wednesday, cursed in her mind "I just turned eighteen"

Wednesday lied of course, they can't know she ran away from home "alright, may I ask your name ma'am"

The goth thought for a second "Veronica" she said and the man nodded "last name?"

He asked after he wrote down her first name "white" the man smiled and wrote it down "well shall we?" He asked and stood up

They walked upstairs, to the fourth floor where her apartment was he opened the door and walked in, it was nothing fancy

But it was enough for her to live in until she gathers herself "it's perfect" Wednesday smiled and the man nodded

"I'm Nathaniel, if you need anything just come and ask, the first payment will be next month, have a good night m'lady"

He said and walked out, Wednesday was relived her luck is incredible, she got an apartment for herself, she can finally live in peace

She just wished Enid would be with her, Wednesday walked around the house there was a couple of furnitures

Two closet, drawer and a bed it might not be the best but she was glad that she won't freeze to death outside on the streets

She decided to get some sleep and the next day look for some job, so she can pay her rent, the goth quickly fell asleep on the bed

The next day she woke up early, and took a shower then changed her clothes, and walked downstairs where the landlord greeted her

"Hello Veronica! Did you had a good night sleep?" He asked with a smile on his face "I did thank you, I'm off to find a job for myself"

Wednesday walked out on the door, when Nate nodded, the goth wondered around the city, she got pretty hungry

So she went to a dinner, and sat down in a booth, a waittess came over to her, she had blonde hair and blue eyes just like Enid did

"What can I get for you?" She asked with a soft smile on her face "I'm going to get pancakes,and a coffee thank you"

The blonde walked away and began to prepare the food for Wednesday, then she had an idea, maybe she could work here

When the waitress came back with her order she asked "hey may I have a question?" The girl nodded

"Is there any job that I could apply here?" The goth asked and the girl began to think "let me ask my boss"

Few minutes later a man walked out "so I hear you ma'am would like a job here? Right?" He had a thick accent

Wednesday nodded with a small smile "for your luck our other waitress just quit, come to my office and we can talk"

The goth swallowed her food and they walked to the office, it wasn't big but it was okay for a dinner, they began to talk

"I just turned eighteen, I rented an apartment and I need a job that's why I want to apply"

The goth explained, the man was silent for a second "because I'm a kind hearted polish man, I will give you the job"

The man said and they shook hands "you are starting tomorrow, from six pm to 2 am, with your collage violet"

Wednesday nodded and she was quite happy that she could accomplish all of this on her own, the only thing she wished for, is for enid to be there with her..
