The next day came around pretty fast, the two girls woke up around 7 am, they both got dressed, they didn't eat breakfast

But they quickly left the apartment, and took the bus to the local orphanage "are you nervous?" Enid asked as they got closer to their destination

"I honestly don't know what I feel, all I know is that I want to get my little brother, I want him to be safe" Enid nodded and put her arm around her tiny body

Wednesday was hesitant at first, but then she layed her head on Enids shoulder, and rested there, couple of minutes later

They finally arrived, and got off the bus as quickly as possible since they didn't payed for their tickets, the two girls stood in front of the orphanage

For at least ten minutes, before Wednesday took a deep breath and they walked into the building, there was a lady at the counter

"Hello how can I help you?" The lady asked, Wednesday forced a small smile on her face, and gripped Enids hand

She didn't know why but she was nervous "I would like to adopt a kid named jackson addams, I'm his sister, I want him to have a normal life and a family"

The lady nodded "can I see some ID?" Wednesday gave her Id to the lady, and there was a couple of minutes waiting, while the woman wrote some papers

"I see no problem with you adopting your brother, I will get him" (note I don't know how adopting works) the lady walked away

Wednesday held herself together, she didn't dare to look at Enid, because she knew if she died, the goth would fall apart in seconds

Half hour passed, and finally the lady was back with Jack on her side, the boy didn't recognized Wednesday, but he recognized Enid

And ran up to her, Enid immediately picked him up, the boy was happy "you need to fill out the papers and you are good to go"

Wednesday nodded and began to fill the papers, it took ten minutes and she was done, the lady wrote her signature on it

And gave the papers back to the goth "have a nice day!" The lady said as they began to walk out "you too" Wednesday said as she walked out of the door

Holding it for Enid, with Jack still in her arms "we walk home" the goth said, Enid nodded, jack was happy very happy

They began to walk, after some time the little boy said "I'm hungry" Wednesday looked around and saw the diner she use to work at

"Come on" Wednesday pulled Enid across the rode, and walked into the diner, she saw the two girls still working there

"V!" Hannah said and hugged her, Wednesday hugged her back, then soon Julie got into the hug too "we missed you girl! What happened?"

Wednesday took a deep breath "I was in a coma for over a year" the two girls immediately pulled her to a free table and sat down

"Holy shit! What? How?" Wednesday looked at Enid who looked jealous "well Enid, put me in a coma" Hannah stood up

And walked in front of Enid "hurt her again and I will kill you! She's our best friend!" Enid was taken aback by this but she only huffed

"Hannah stop, she's my girlfriend, we smoothed things over we're cool" Enid sat down next to Wednesday, with Jack in her lap

"Fine, who's he?" Enid looked down at the little boy in her lap "it's my little brother, Jackson" the two girls melted, and they immediately loved Jack

"Look I need to get my job back, could you two help me out?" Wednesday asked quietly, the girls nodded "let us talk with him"

And with that they disappeared into the office "I don't like them" Enid said as soon as they left the table "I know"
The goth responded

"But I have to work if we want to raise a child, and actually live together" Enid nodded and looked into Wednesday's eyes

The goth accidentally looked into Enids eyes too, then took a deep breath and glanced away "baby? What is it? Aren't you happy? We got your brother"

Jack had fallen asleep already "I am but its- can we talk about it later?" Enid nodded and wiped that one single tear away from Wednesday's cheek

Wednesday smiled a little "you start next week" Julie said as they got back to the table, the goth nodded and thanked them

"Also we would like some take aways" the two girls looked at each other with a smile "usual?" Wednesday nodded "make it double, and a kids meal"

After some time the girls got back with their orders, and gave it to Wednesday "thanks, see you next week"

They walked out of the diner, and began to walk home, it took an hour to actually walk back to their apartment

"Veronica, who is that little guy?" Nate asked with a smile on his face "my little brother" the man nodded and let them through

Wednesday got into the apartment first, she got her coat off, and shoes then walked into the kitchen, and got plates on the table and sat down

Enid did the same, Jack was surprised but still happy, especially when he saw the food on the table, they all began to eat

When the land phone began to ring, the goth picked it up "hey Veronica, there's some gentlemans looking for you"

"Did they say their names?" The goth began to worry, the line was quiet for a second "I believe one of them is called ajax"

"Don't let them through Nate, I'm begging you" Wednesday said it quietly so Enid wouldn't hear it, or worse Jack

"I won't, don't worry, they looking for a girl called Wednesday, I told them no one lives here under that name" Nate said Wednesday felt relieved

"Just don't let them through, thank you Nathaniel" Wednesday put the phone down, wiped her tears away, she didn't even realize that she cries

Calmed herself down, took a deep breath and walked back to her family "who was it?" Enid asked with a soft smile

"Some newspaper guy, you know how they are" Wednesday forced a smile on her face and sat down, but she didn't feel hungry anymore

She watched as Enid and Jack ate happily, the goth didn't want to ruin this day

But she has to tell Enid some time

Wednesday could only hope, they won't search for them anymore, and they will be safe.. Right?..
