Peter's POV:

Ok, so I thought by changing my ways that maybe Y/n would finally come back to me but no matter what I did she always seemed to pick Brad. Sure, it made sense that she would choose him over me now but I would've thought that with all of our history maybe something would happen. But, maybe it was just time for me to move on like the girls told me. The only thing was that it felt weird looking at other girls because it's always been Y/n. Even when we were kids, she was the one who would talk to me about my crushes. Now, that would probably just make things more awkward between us. I was walking to 6th period with Ned, a girl came up to me. Angelica Barret I think it was.

"Hey, Peter. It's Angelica. Remember, we have biochemistry together?" She smiles sweetly.

"Yea, hey Angelica, what's up?" I smile back.

"I was just wondering if maybe we could hang out sometime this weekend?" She said with a bit of a hopeful glint in her eye. I sighed and thought about it.

"Umm-" As I'm about to speak, Angelica chimes in.

"I know it's probably really crummy for me to ask you out even though you haven't really been with anyone else besides Y/n. I just thought I'd ask. You don't have to say yes if you don't want to, I totally understand," She says sweetly.

"No, it's ok. You didn't do anything wrong. I'm flattered actually. And I..I'd love to hang out with you this weekend. How does..this Saturday sound? We could go to that new Italian restaurant on Pembroke?" I suggest. Her face seems to light up at the offer.

"Sure that sounds great. I'll uh... see you at 6?"

"Perfect!"

"Ok, great...umm bye Peter," She waves as she walks away. I wave back and sigh. The girls were right. I shouldn't stay hung up on Y/n forever. It was time to move on. She'd made it clear she didn't wanna get back together. So, I guess, I'll just have to try something new. As I'm about to walk off again I see Ned staring at me in shock.

"Don't give me that look," I mumble.

"Are you really gonna go out with Angelica Barret? After everything that's happened over the past few months.?" Ned says, still in shock.

"Well, yea, why not. She seems nice and I figured it's time to move on from Y/n. She doesn't seem to be interested in me anymore so might as well try and do something different then just waiting on her to come around," I explain.

"I guess you're right. I just...I never thought I'd see the day you and Y/n would go out with anyone other than each other," Ned sighed.

"Honestly...neither did I," I mumble a bit sadly.
