Ari wasn't born a pirate, but she was born a fighter. She had a Greninja mother, who taught her how to be kind and gentle with people, and a Mega Absol father, who taught her how to be strong and ferocious.
However, her father... is a dick. I mean Ace is a bit of one himself, but not to his family. This guy in the other hand, he's Ozi from Avatar X100. He was very strict, cold, and wasn't shy to give his daughter physical punishment if she was "weak", thinking it's the best thing for her. He called her a lot of cruel stuff like a disgrace, a weak link, a mistake, a slut, you name it, during their "training sessions", which was only there so her father could unleash his frustrations and anger out on her through violence. Her mother kept trying to defend her, only to get beaten as a punishment for "speaking out of term".
Luckily, Ari isn't all "obeying and respectful". Every night, ever since she was 13, she would sneak out of her home to hang out with a couple of her friends, one of them was Scarlet (by SnowieTheBlueBraixen ), a Greninja, Mega Absol and Hisuian Arcanine hybrid who is a pirate in the captain of her crew that comes to her island every summer. Out of everyone in her friend group, it was Scarlet, along with Kwazii and Cora that Ari told about her life... and the abuse she went though by her father. All three pirates knew that the way her father was treating her was wrong, even though Ari thinks that her father was doing what's best of her.
This façade only lasted until one incident during training, when her father calls her pathetic, and that he wished that he had a son and should've killed her when she was born if he knew that she was going to be this weak. This was the moment when Ari realized that her friends were right, and that her father was really a monster. So she did the one thing that her father hates most: she spoke of term, saying some colourful language while calling him out on the amount of times he cruelly beaten and chastised her during "training", that the "training" was only there so she could be his punching bag. This cause her father to snap and use dragon claw at her face, half blinding her and giving her the iconic scar over her left eye.
Her mother saw this happen, and immediately went to her aid and fought her husband. Unfortunately, due to him being permanently Mega Evolved, he was stronger and he ended up killing Ari's mother. The death of her mother finally caused Ari to snap and extend to her final evolve form, kick her father into a wall and run out of the house.
She was able to find her friends who were about to leave for the fall. They saw her, mortified at her state. Without hesitation, Scarlet leads Ari onto the ship, right before Kwazii freaks out about a "Purple Energy Cthulhu" which was her father, in his rage, trying to kill his daughter. Luckily they were able to get off the island, leaveing Ari's past behind.
From that day forward, Ari has been on Scarlet's ship, sailing the 7 seas, looking for treasure (those were Zii's words, not hers or Sacr's).
As Scarlet's most trusted friend and first mate (it's not written in stone yet), Ari was in charge of keeping the crew in check when Scarlet is absent, busy, sick or injured. Due to her father's "lessons", She has some what of a cold personality, however, due to her mother's lessons and her friends' support, she never lets her father's abuse define her. Over all, she is calm, patient, and willing to listen to any questions and concerns that the crew might have.
