After we got home, I started getting ready for the party. Ben has just left to go to a friend's and it was just me in the house.
I had just put on some pink mini dress as I hear the doorbell ring. I walk down the stairs and open the door. I see Nicholas standing in front of me.
"Hey, Addison. Sorry to just drop in"
"It's all good, did you want to come in"
"I don't think that is a good idea"
"There's no one home" He nods and walks in. I shut the door behind him. "Did you want anything to drink" I ask as I walk over to the dining room table and we both sit down.
"I'm fine, thanks. I just wanted to drop by and say that I spoke with Principal White. He mentioned that you don't really do well with school. I offered to tutor you, if that's ok with you"
"Uhhh, I don't know. Unless I have detention after school, I'm not really allowed to stay back"
"Ok, no problem. I'll let him know" He stands up.
"Am I still right to call you if I need help with anything"
"Yeah, of course"
"Before you go, can I just ask you something" He looks at me confused.
"Yeah, sure"
"Why did you hit on me yesterday"
"Uh... I don't think I can answer that. I would of answered that question yesterday but now that I'm your teacher"
"I get that but I am having problems. Every ass hole at that school hits on me, I react and that's why I am always in the office. I want to see if it has something in common"
"Please don't take this to heart but the reason that guys at school probably hit on you is because of the way you dress. I automatically liked you yesterday because you had less makeup on, your hair wasn't done and you were wearing a lot more clothes. You weren't trying to hook up with anyone"
"Thanks for being honest" I smile. He walks towards me.
"I really do like you but you know we can't"
"Yeah, I know. I'll see you tomorrow" I say as I usher him to the door. I open it and he walks out.
I walk up the stairs and continue to get ready for the party. I ended up putting Nick's phone number in my phone in case of emergencies.
I finished getting ready, it took awhile and I hear a beep out the front. I grab my bag with my phone and wallet inside and I head down the stairs. I walk out of the house and hop in the front seat of Casey's car.
"Oh Addi, you look amazing" Maddi says.
"Thanks, you girls too. Now this isn't going to be a late night, we still have school tomorrow" They all laugh.
"Since when did you care about school" Harper says.
"I don't but you heard principal White. I need to start focusing on school" They all continue to laugh.
"Seriously Addi, we are going to a party that will last all night. I doubt anyone from our grade will be at school tomorrow" Casey says as she continues driving.
I sit there for the rest of the drive in silence while the others gossip. Half of me thinks this a very bad idea. What if Uncle Jake finds out? What if something happens and I can't get back home? I am one of the most popular girls in the school, people expect me to be here.
Casey pulls up to Jason's cabin that is in the middle of the woods. There are kids all outside drinking, the music is blasting and more kids are dancing inside.
