Chapter 1-(Y/N) Rengoku

There, in the Rengoku household was a woman. She was sitting down holding a little girl in her arms as she was playing with a few toys. When the woman first set eyes on this young child, she fell in love immediately and continues to fall in love with her. Her husband brought the young girl home, telling her that the girl's parents were killed by a demon and she was left there.

The woman felt terrible for the young girl, she instantly look the girl into her arms and she felt like the little girl was her daughter after the first touch. When the little girl looked at the woman, she smiled immediately and hugged the woman.

"I'll take good care of you, (Y/N)."

It's been 7 years since (Y/N) was brought to the Rengoku household. She's currently 12 years old and is currently training in the back yard with her older brother, Kyojuro. He is the Flame Hashira of the Demon Slayers. She wanted to follow her brother's footsteps in becoming a demon slayer. Kyojuro was against the idea but eventually gave into (Y/N) "pleases" that he decided to train her to the best of his ability.

(Y/N) loved training and being with her older brother. Her father, Shinjuro, never and still doesn't like the idea of (Y/N) training to become a demon slayer. Ever since Ruka, (Y/N) mother, died, Shinjuro has become addicted to alcohol and drinking everyday and night. (Y/N) never liked seeing him drinking, she's been wanting to stop him, but she's stopped trying to intervene after what happened last time she tried to stop him.

~Start of Backstory~

(Y/N) was in her room reading a book when she heard a door slide open. She looked up from her book and saw that her father was home after getting another bottle of alcohol. (Y/N) placed her book down and walked over to her door and slid it open. She saw that her father's door was closed. She walked over to her father's door and gently slid it open.

(Y/N): "F-Father?"

She looked inside her father's room and saw him sitting down on the open patio that he had in his room.

(Y/N): "Father?"

Shinjuro: "What do you want."

(Y/N) slightly shivered from his booming voice. Ever since he became an alcoholic, his voice became scarier to (Y/N).

(Y/N): "M-May I come in?"

Her father turned his head to his door and saw (Y/N) looking at his with a gentle look and nodded his head. (Y/N) slid the door open more and crawled over to sit beside her father. She looked at her father and saw him looking at the beautiful sunset. She looked up at it and gently laid her head on his shoulder.

(Y/N): "It's a beautiful sunset. Wouldn't you say so father?" 

Shinjuro sighed and nodded his head.

Shinjuro: "Yes. It is indeed."

As they both sat there, (Y/N) looked up at her father and saw a sad look in his eyes. She continued to lay her head on his shoulder.
