Chapter 10-Mugan Train Mission Pt.3

(Y/N) and her brother were sitting in their seats of the Mugan Train. They have been eating their box lunches... Well, Kyojuro has anyways. (Y/N) only ate three of the box lunches while her brother has almost finished all of his. She chuckled as he still complemented the food. Over and over and over and over again.

Even though she's been hearing his complements for years... she's never hated it. Their father tolerated it but never said anything negative about it.

(Y/N)'s been gone from home for a while now. She still worries about her father and her younger brother. She wants to know how their doing and what they've been doing while her and her older brother have been gone. Kyojuro knows know his sister feels about family and that she'll do anything to protect it.

Kyojuro was about to take another bite when he happened to see something from the corner of his eye. He looked over to where his sister was sitting and saw a single tear running down her cheek. He has not seen her cry for a long time.

Kyojuro: "Sister?"

(Y/N) looks up at her brother with a sad look as another tear runs down her cheek.

Kyojuro: "Sister... What's wrong?"

(Y/N): "I... I miss home. I worry about Father and his health. I worry for Senjuro and his time at home without us. My wolf instincts have been flaring ever since we got on this train. Something bad is about to happen. I'm not sure when but it feels like it's right here... You must think I'm crazy."

(Y/N) looked down in her lap. She began to wipe her tears as a few more began to fall. She then felt a hand on hers. She looked at her hand and saw her brothers. When she looked up at her brother, she saw a face she never thought she would ever see...

A genuine sweet smile. He's always wore a proud smile or no smile. She's never seen a smile like this on her brother's face.

Kyojuro gave his sister's hand a squeeze and then used his other hand to wipe her tears.

Kyojuro: "You are not crazy. Your instincts have helped the demon slayers in the past. If their saying something bad is about to happen, then we do it together. You understand?"

(Y/N) was surprised at her brothers words, but then smiled and nodded. She then rested her head on her brother's shoulder.

Kyojuro: "You get some rest sister. I'll wake you up if something happens."
