Jonas was back in his small apartment doing homework and waiting for his dad to come home. He swore that he got time off from the office to come see Mary at the hospital but he was already fifteen minutes late. There was this girl at the office that he's worked with since they were kids. Her name is Darla. And she is quite darling. She would always stay late to finish his work when he had to go help Mary, or when he used to go on dates with JenaLee. Then he heard a knock on the door and he jumped, his textbook sliding down the table.

"Oh my, I'm so sorry!" It was Darla. Jonas stared at her for a long time. He didn't notice the way Darlas's black hair fell over her shoulder. Knock it off! She's like five years older than you! Jonas thought.

"Ooo I love chemistry!" Said Darla picking up his textbook. "Yeah, it's my favorite subject." Jonas replied slightly blushing. It seemed like they both sat there for hours. "Well I better get to work." said Darla half laughing. "Oh yeah, of course." Said Jonas beet red. Then Jonas's dad walks in holding Mary in his arms.

"She's feeling better so they let me bring her home." He mumbled putting Mary on the couch. "Oh thank goodness you're here dad we at least can have one night together!" Jonas said gleefully. Dad sighed then said: "Actually I brought Darla here because I have to go back to the office. It's urgent."

"Oh!" Said Jonas, sobbing. "I just thought we could have one night before Mary gets worse." Jonas replied, choking out tears. You see, Jonas's dad did not like when people would cry, let alone his own children. So Jonas's dad got very uncomfortable and left for the office. This is when Jonas started to have a major mental breakdown.

" Oh no honey-" Said Darla trying to comfort him.

"Don't push it." Mary said half laughing "It's probably tears from his breakup."

"N-not t-true!" Jonas mumbled. "Yes, it's true! You've been crying like a baby since you and JenaLee broke up!" Mary replied, almost angry.

"WELL IT'S NOT MY FAULT I'M MAD THAT I LOST THE BEST THING THAT EVER HAPPENED TO ME!" Jonas screamed. The room went silent. Mary was on the verge of tears. "Come on Mary." Said Darla cooly. "You need some quiet."

"Mary huffed. "Why are you here anyway? Trying to hit on my brother?" Darla laughed then took her hand and dragged Mary into her room. "No sweetie, your dad asked me to take care of you guys. He thought something like this would happen." Darla said gracefully.

"Why does my dad trust you so much anyway?"

Well Sweetie" Darla replied. "Because we're engaged."
