Promises Worth Keeping

Jonas was sitting at his desk doing homework trying to avoid chemistry because of the Dejà Vú. "Jonas the door!" Mary said (Her room was closer to the door than his). She was trapped in her bed because she couldn't move with all the needles in her arm. As he walked to the door the person behind it really wanted to see him because they were knocking constantly. When he opened the door he immediately shut it and started panting. It was Macie Jonas' mother's best friend. And his dads ex. What on earth is she doing here? Thought Jonas. " Jonas! I know you're in there!" Macie yelled from behind the door. What am I supposed to do? Why is she here? What made her decide to come back? All these questions ran through his head so quickly.

"Jonas please let me in, I really need to talk to you." Jonas questioned this, he hadn't seen Macie since his mother's funeral. That was ten years ago. What had made her decide to come back after all these years?

"Jonas please." Macie was basically begging by now. "Jonas, it's about David." David was Macie's husband. "He's dead." She's sad. Everything was silent for a moment. Then Jonas opened the door. "What?" Jonas replied

"He had a heart attack." I just wanted to say hi to your father-i-is he h-here?" Jonas rolled his eyes . Of course Macie was going to try to hit on his dad. "Sorry Macie but he's engaged to some young hot chick." Just then Darla Came up the apartment stairs.

" Jonas! I'm so happy that you think so highly of me! Who's this young lady you're talking to?" Darla said, smiling fakely at Macie. "Is this the hot girl?" Said Macie scoffing.

"Are you the gold digging rat?" Said Darla smiling.

"Excuse me?!" Yelled Macie. "My husband just had a heart attack and you're calling me a gold digger when you're the one that's basically in high school dating an old man." Said Macie spitefully. "Whatever." Darla said scoffing. "I have a life to live." Darla then said, shoving Mace out of the doorway and walking off. "Wow" said Macie "Shseems like quite the ray of sunshine."

I rolled my eyes. Sure my dad was hot (and I happen to acquire his good looks) but this is going too far. "Ok sorry Macie but my dad is taken as you can see, so you can leave now." Macie pughts "FINE!" Then she ran down the apartment stairs and into her porsche.

"Geez I didn't know James was so popular." Darla said watching the Bachelor. Jonas sighed. "Well he has a past." Then his phone buzzed. It was a text from Drake.

"Hi Jonas, It's Lila. I really need to talk to you. Meet me at PF Chang's at four." the text said. It wasn't a question to Jonas, so he went. As he pulled up to Pf Chang's his heart fluttered and he took some mints with him.
