Promises Worth Keeping

It was the last period and Jonas was itching to get out.

"Ok class I want to remind you about our lagoon trip today." The teacher said sweetly.

Oh no! Jonas thought. He had always looked forward to the Lagoon trip. When he had friends. Someone tapped Jonas on the shoulder.

"Do you wanna stick with me at Lagoon?" It was Lila. He couldn't believe it.

"Do you forgive me?" Jonas mumbled cool as a cucumber.

"Not really but I understand what it feels like to have a huge crush on someone." Lila said flirtatiously. Jonas was mad. Who could she have a crush on?

"Can I ask you something?" said Jonas.

"Sure," said Lila with a smile. Jonas took a huff then said: "Don't tell Drake about this he's already mad enough."

Lila looked a bit disappointed but Jonas didn't know why.

"Oh yeah sure." Lila then mumbled.

We were boarding the bus and I sat with Lila. Drake was glaring at Jonas. Lila was talking about this Roblox game that Jonas had no interest in sense he was more of a Clash of Clans type of guy.

Drake was just ignoring us and staring at Zoey on the other side of the bus.

"Do you know Zoey?" Jonas asked Lila.

"Uh Yeah why?" "Just wondering." Jonas says.

"Bro we were talking about her at Pf Changs remember?" Said Lila confused.

"We're here!" Someone yelled.

I looked out the window to see a dreamland. roller coasters, ferris wheels, food shops, everything!

"Come on!" Lila said, grabbing my hand and pulling me out of the bus. When their hands touched he felt a tingle. Oh gosh. He couldn't believe he was falling for Lila too. He had to forget about this, but he couldn't. Every second while they were at Lagoon Jonas could not stop staring at Lila, while they were playing Shoot the Ducky, a group of girls came up to them and they looked like Lila's friends,

"Hey girl hey!" they all said in unison. That was weird, Jonas thought. So Jonas laughed because he didn't know how to act around girls who were basically robots.

"Oh, hey guys." Lily mumbled looking a bit scared,

"Why aren't you hanging out with us?" they all said. Lila didn't know what to say.

"Because I wanted to hang out with her today," said Jonas confidently. The girls looked surprised, then smirked, "Okiiiii!" they said in the same tone and at the same time. This was really weird, Jonas thought.

"Daddy vibes, we like a good daddy queen." The girls continued,

Jonas didn't know what that meant, but Lila laughed,

"Ohhhhh k girlies let's go." They all said together,

"See you later Lila!" Then the weird girls skipped off.

Jonas just stood there awkwardly,

"Come on it's almost time to go, I want one trip on the ferris wheel."

As they got in line, Lila seemed a bit occupied in her mind,

"You good?" Said Jonas

Lila jumped, "Oh, yeah! Come on, it's our turn."

As they sat down Jonas saw Lila adjusting her hair. It was dark now and the fireworks were about to start.

"Looks like I'm lucky." Jonas said,

"Why?" Lila replied, looking at Jonas, moving closer.

"I guess because you're so pretty and nice."

Lila blushed, then she moved a bit closer. Jonas didn't know what to do,

"I think you're pretty too Jonas," Lila said calmly.

Jonas put a strand of hair behind Lila's ear, staring at her eyes.

Then she pressed her lips on his, right as the fireworks burst.

They were on the very top of the ferris wheel, it was the most magical moment ever.

Behind them Jonas could hear someone screaming, Jonas pulled away from Lila and looked behind him, to find the biggest shock of his life.

The ferris wheel cart behind them, carried Jonas' Dad and Darla!
