Promises Worth Keeping

Jonas pulled up to Lila's house and Lila burst out of the frog door and Jonas burst out of his car. Lila ran to the hill and ran into his arms. Jonas pulled her in so close and he never wanted to let go. This was a moment Jonas had that he knew would stay in his mind forever. Jonas had been holding back tears. He had to be strong. For himself, for Lila. Lila pulled away from him and there were tears rolling down her cheeks. Jonas saw this and burst into tears.

"I'm sorry Lila, I don't know how to be strong." Lila wiped a tear from his cheek.

"Jonas." Lila was so calm and her voice was so warming to his heart. "You've been strong, you are everything Mary needed. You're everything everyone needs." Then Lila kissed him. Then she stopped and started yelling at him

"Why didn't you answer my texts!"

"Uh" Jonas was surprised that Lila was so mad about this. "Well you know my sister just died right." By this point Jonas was getting annoyed. Lila looked irritated. "Well yeah but just one text would be nice." Lila said, rubbing her shoulder.

"Come on, let's get out of here." Jonas said.

"Yay!" Lila replied. So they went to Pf Chang's when they got seated Lila talked about fortnite. When the food came Lila talked about Fortnite. When the food came Lila ordered a Tbone steak and their special strawberry limeade. Sense Jonas was paying he just ordered Pad Thai. Jonas didn't feel like eating and Liula would not shut up about the new battle pass. Once she started talking about Roblox Jonas was fed up. "Can we please talk about something else!" He said signaling the waitress for the check. Lila looked surprised for a second then she went silent.

"I'm so sorry." Then she sipped the last of her lemonade. She didn't ask if he wanted a sip the whole time and the strawberry limeade looked really good. "Tell me more about you Jonas." But then the check dude came.

"Could we actually get two checks?" Jonas asked the waitress. Lila stared at him for a second.

"Excuse me?"

She said impolitely. "It's a gentleman's duty to pay." Lila said, smiling at the waitress. Jonas rolled his eyes. He didn't know what was up with Lula today!

"Um I'm sorry but you didn't let me have a sip of your strawberry limeade!" Jonas said sternly. "Um I'm sorry but you never asked!" She yelled. "WEll I'm sorry your majesty but I don't want to pay for you." He handed the waitress the exact amount for his meal, then he walked out and drove away.

On the news he saw Lila with a caption "Girl refused to pay 60 dollars meal because her BF left." Jonas was shocked, first off because her meal was $60 second because she refused to pay. Lila was basically a billionaire, and third because she was on the news!

"Whoever left this poor girl here is such a jerk." The news reporter said. Oh please Jonas didn't think that he should have to pay for Lila's $60 meal, especially since she only had one bite of her steak. Jonas turned the TV off and went to Pf PF Changs to pay for the meal. Luila said she'd pay him back but he doubted it.
