...hey guys, sorry I haven't updated in forever, i'm going to try and update frequently. hope you enjoy chapter four! -katiekate2020...

Mom and I got our bathing suits on, hopped in the car, then drove the few blocks to the beach. We jumped out of the car and ran towards the water and started swimming to the Marine Studies building. As we swam deeper into the water our tails began to grow and sparkle.

Mom, what is the color of your tail?

"It's a greenish-tealish."

Mine is purple, my favorite color!

"Usually a mermaids tail is her favorite color, but of course people can always get theirs dyed."

People actually dye their tails.

"Yep, your father and I did it once."

Where?

"The deepest part o the ocean, where all the mermaids live, it's called Atlantia."

Why don't we live there?

"Because your father and I wanted you to have more opportunities in life, like proper schooling and jobs that only people up here can have."

Can we visit sometime? Do I have any relatives in Atlantia?

"The mer-society doesn't accept our decision, even my own parents are disappointed in your father and I."

Oh...

"Finally we are at the Marine Studies building!"

Okay so we just have to get underneath it and use our powers to gets us in there.
