Sorry I forgot that Katherine possessed Elena, but i'll just give you a brief explanation on how it stopped.
While Zoe was kept as sleeping beauty, Nadia found out that Katherine had possessed Elena and that she was her mother, and Katherine did a crappy job at parenting, Nadia hated Katherine so she felt guilty for killing Katherine's doppelgänger. So she decided to help, by pulling back Elena, and killing Katherine, but that's possibly not the end of Katherine, but somehow Nadia connects Zoe's and Elena's mind to not know that Elena's been possessed by their lookalike.
So Katherine may not be dead.
And Nadia is still roaming around, finding her next stop to start her drama.
Should I do a sequel to this book? But about the Mikaelson's and Elena and Zoe being a part of it?
Leave your suggestions, sorry for being so stupid on forgetting that Katherine had possessed Elena's body.
