Hidden In The Shadows

Chapter 1

Dani's Pov

It's the first day of 6th year and I just want this to be over with. I spent my summer at Dracos house as I didn't exactly want to stay with my uncle and aunt for another summer where they use me as a house maid even if I could just threaten them with magic I still would be treated the same.

Me and my friends were sitting at the Slytherin table right at the back mainly so that we are away from people and prying eyes as people often look at us and we'll fawn over the boys which kinda pisses me off most if the time.

"Hey you okay" Blaise nudge me in my arm snapping me out of my trance. I simply nod and give him a little smile to show him that I'm alright.

"Ooooo Mattheo" I hear this singsong voice behind me and I turn around to see a Ravenclaw giggling and making flirty faces at him. This just makes me feel sick to my stomach. But I don't know why I don't care or even like Mattheo like that I don't think.

"Ugh" I hear him say in disgust as he looks over at the girl and back around to the group. I can tell that it bothers him sometimes about the girl fawning and flirty and occasionally fighting over him. Quite frankly it's fucking ridiculous and I don't see the appeal. I might be the only girl in Hogwaets that doesn't seem him that way other than Pansy, Astoria and or course Hermione Granger as its soooo clear that's she's into the ginger rat.

"Ignore them they're just drsperate" I tell him and he just rolls his eyes at me like he doesn't want to listen but he know that I'm right and he does listen to me eventually.

"Oooh Mattheo please please look at me" Blaise says mockingly about all the girls that flirt and come over so him. I'm kinda surprised sometimes about how many girls actually like Mattheo as they do mainly see him as the Dark Lords son but I guess they don't care about that when he's 'cute'.

"Oh shut it Zambini" Martheo retorts at him throwing a piece if soft bread at him. Hitting him in the shoulder this just makes Blaise chuckle to himself which ends up making me giggle a little under my breath.

"Look the sorting ceremony is over thank fuck for that" Pansy says to herself but she's thinking out loud so we all heard her and she's normally thi ks out loud when she wants us to hear something or she really just wants to move onto something g else.

"Oh come on Pansy don't be like that just think of all the new 1st years you can terrorise now" I tell and I see the frown that was on her face turn into a gleaming smile. She shoots up straight and leans in towards me.

"Your right" Pansy whispers to me, Astoria is sitting g next to just rolling her eyes about Pansy terrorising the younger years. Astoria is nicer to the younger years but can't be quite terrifying if one were to get in her way but she sometimes sticks up for them whereas Pansy is the complete opposite.

"Okay okay enough of that can we just eat and wonder off please" I hear Enzo plead to the group he doesn't like the thought of terrorising the 1st years as they are 'new' and we must be 'nice'. He's much like Astoria in that respect. And in my opinion they would make quite a nice couple I mean they do make eye contact with each other any chance they get them quickly looks away and I always see a little blush on both of them after. Funny how no one else notice that.
