Hidden In The Shadows

Chapter 10

I look down and who do I see. Pansy and Astoria they look almost worried.

"There you are" Pansy says to me. She places her hand on her chest like she was about to have a heart attack. I make my way down the stairs to the girls.

"Hey what happened to you I haven't see you all day you missed lunch and dinner" Astoria exclaims so that I understand the seriousness of her concern.

"Hey girls I'm alright I promise besides I'm always alright you know that" I tell them while giving them my best smile. I just hope they believe I'm okay they normally do they aren't one to question things once something has been said. Sometimes I wished they did but I think it's best that they don't.

"Okay if you say so" Pansy say with a smile. She grabs my hand and starts to drag me through the castle and taking me to what I assume is the common room.

"Come on sit we have to catch up with what you missed" Pansy says she loves to gossip so she doesn't mean catch up on course work she means catch up on the gossip that I missed.

"Okay okay what did I missed" I asked them and they both seemed so giddy about something. Now that is making me curious.

"Pansy got asked out" Astoria finally spills out. Dear god who is it this time.

"What's their name" I ask her directly. She just smiles at me.

"It's Theo he asked me out turns out we both sort if catched feeling for each other during out side activity together I didn't even release till he said he loved spending time with me" Pansy blurts out. She seems so over excited I would be but her relationships always end the same way she goes out with them she uses them for her releases and then leaves them once she has had enough of them.

"He isn't gonna turn out like the others is he" I ask without even thinking of the consequences of that will cause.

Pansy signs in an 'how dare you' kind of way to show that she wasn't impressed by my remark I don't blame her that was a bit out there even for me.

"What the he'll is wrong with you" she nearly shouts at me. She stands up and walks away. I think k I might if over done it this time. I regret what I said but I have so much pent up anger from Harry that I don't know how to express it so I end up taking it out on my friends. I'll end up talking g to her later about it.

"Dani" Astoria say softly and tilts her head.

"I know it's just something happened today and I don't know how to let it go" I explain to her. All of a sudden this overwhelming darkness dawns over me as if I know I'm all alone again.

"Is it something to do with what happens with Potter this morning, if you tell me maybe the boys would give him a good fight" she tells me and I react all too quickly.

"No they can't do that they can't hurt him they need to leave him alone" I tell Astoria while looking her dead in the eyes with a serious but concern look in my eyes. I believe Astoria sensed that and I could see that she thought I was crazy for trying the protect Potter even if her parents and all our groups and their parents don't like him.

"Why are you trying to protect him Dani" she questions me.

"I can't tell you but please don't let them hurt Potter they can't do that" I tell her. She doesn't know what else to say so she just nods to my remark and tries to give me an assuring smile.

Astoria walks off I assume to go and see how Pansy is doing. I just stay on the sofa in the common room, I lay down across the sofa and place my arm over my eyes. I close my eyes and fall into a deep sleep.
