THE late morrow was rough and cloudy. There had been a storm that had brewed in just last night. Turning the atmosphere into a light humid one. It was yet for the sun to fully show itself in the sky.

Today was the day of the trial for the succession of Lord of the Tides would be debated between Ser Vaemond and Lucerys.

Personally, the second-born prince thought it completely childish of Vaemond to try and propose a trial in the court to the crown.

It was already a settled succession but everyone silently knew the true why it was being held so openly.

To Rhaegar's surprise, Otto had agreed to take the request in consideration and he did.

This all rubbed the Targaryen prince the wrong way. Clearly, Vaemond was trying to get something out of this and it wasn't just because of the title.

Vaemond was only taking advantage of Lord Corlys' condition to call upon the crown and council to make this petition.

People filled the throne room for they would bear witness to what would happen. The chattering and murmuring became louder as the hour came along to start.

Lucerys stood next Rhaenyra as Jacaerys stood behind him. For the past few minutes, Lucerys had yet to see Rhaegar but he was no where to be seen.

Lucerys tried to comply with his intruding thought by saying to himself that the Targaryen prince was only late and that he would be here soom to support him.

The young prince furrowed his eye brows once he saw the Lord Hand Hightower ascend the throne to begin the court trial for the succession of driftmark.

Luke looked around once more and still not seeing Rhaegar in the room.

He looked down for bit but remained quiet with a hard look and a stiff lip.

"Though it is the great hope of this court that Lord Corlys Velaryon survive his grave wounds..." Otto said.

The court room quietly settled down.
