"N-NEZUKO WAIT-!!!"
Tanjiro stumbled over the snow, falling over the cliff with nezuko, tanjiro took a moment as he looked to the sky, thinking to himself
'the snow softened my fall. . . But it was also the reason we fell. . .'
Hearing something beside him, tanjiro turned to see nezuko, standing with her head held low, fearing nezuko may be to weak, tanjiro ran to her, not realizing the danger he put himself in
"Nezuko you don't have to walk! Please just let me carry you to town!" Tanjiro yelled, but his offer went unanswered as nezuko suddenly released a growl and jump on tanjiro, who brought up his hatchet to stop her from biting him with her new large fangs
Tanjiro looked over his sisters larger and more fearsome form, crying as he began to realize what had happened
'that man. . . He did this to her! What saburo said was true! Nezuko is a demon. . . And it's because of that man!'
"NEZUKO! HANG ON NEZUKO! DON'T GIVE IN! YOU GOTTA HANG ON!"
As tanjiro yelled and held off his sister, footsteps drew closer to the demon and human, which went unnoticed to the siblings
"DON'T LET IT TAKE CONTROL! YOU GOTTA STAY STRONG! PLEASE-!"
Tanjiro was cut off guard as something wet fell on his cheeks, he quickly realized they were tears. . .
The footsteps started to become more noticeable as tanjiro suddenly grabbed nezuko by the shoulders and pushed her off of him before shielding her from a clawed hand, which almost wounded the demon
Tanjiro turned to the attacker, seeing the man from before, his back was turned, and tanjiro could see the man had short curly black hair, pale skin, and he was wearing a black suit
the man turned to look at tanjiro with a readless look in his bright orange eyes, yet tanjiro's look was filled with pure rage as he recognized the man
"GET AWAY FROM MY SISTER!!!" Tanjiro yelled, holding his sister who thrashed against his hold, which confused the man
"you were moments away from being eaten, and holding onto the demon who is threatening to kill you, and yet you still call her your sister?" The man said with a cold voice
In a quick motion, the man disappeared from view, as well as nezuko, but the 2 quickly reappeared far away from tanjiro, but still in view
"please hear me out, I can help both you and your sister" the man requested, tanjiro wanted to yell, and kill the man in front of him, but something, deep down, told him to listen to the stranger
With a hesitated nod of approval, the man began to speak his peace
"I am muzan Kibutsuji, and despite what you may think, I am not the one who killed your family and turned your sister into a demon. . . Yet I must apologize, as this was still my doing. . ."
