The torch was heading to where Stoick left his men to keep the Nadders trap but they have to abandon the trap Nadders who had the same idea and fled the area to avoid getting hurt but the escaped Nadders have gathered some sheep in a net with one falling off and started to fly off with their companions back to the raid as the crowd of vikings watched. The raid is over and the dragons have clearly won this one. The crowd murmured between each other as they looked to their chief for his response and they could clearly see that he was not in a very good mood.
Hiccup glanced around to see that all eyes were on him and his father as he glanced at Stoick before pointing in the direction of the forest with a sheepish look.
"Okay, but I hit a Night Fury." He said sheepishly.
Having enough, Stoick grabs Hiccup by the hoodie of his vest and walks away while fuming in embarrassment as the crowd watches from the side. Gobber came as well as he watched the duo with a concerned gaze as Hiccup tried to explain his reason to his father.
"It's not like the last few times, Dad. I mean I really actually hit it. You guys were busy and I had a very clear shot. It went down, just off Raven Point. Let's get a search party out there, before it-" Hiccup rambled on just as Stoick released him and turned to the teen.
"STOP!" He exclaimed in frustration and Hiccup immediately went silent with everyone else as the crowd just watched the chief scold his son.
"Just... stop." Stoick told him after calming down a little but the frustration was clear in his eyes.
"Every time you step outside, disaster follows. Can you not see that I have bigger problems? Winter's almost here and I have an entire village to feed!" Stoick said loudly as Hiccup was still silent.
The teen looked around and noticed that all eyes were upon him so see what his response is.
"Between you and me, the village could do with a little less feeding, don't ya think?" Hiccup joked a little.
The little jab made a few vikings to stir self-consciously and one even put their hand on their stomach with a slightly offended look as if asking the teen silently 'is he calling me fat?' but Stoick wasn't in a very joking mood right now.
"This isn’t a joke, Hiccup!" Stoick scolded him as he sighed in exasperation.
"Why can't you follow the simplest orders?" He questioned him in exasperation as the teen responded.
"I can't stop myself. I see a dragon and I have to just... kill it, you know? It's who I am, Dad." Hiccup said as he tried to explain but Stoick just pinched the bridge of his nose, clearly stressed.
"Odin, you are many things, Hiccup. But a dragon killer is not one of them." Stoick bluntly told him and Hiccup had to hide a flinch from everyone.
Stinging from the inside, Hiccup looks around sadly to see many were agreeing with the chief as the teen looked down to the ground.
"Get back to the house." Stoick told him before he looked over to Gobber.
"Make sure he gets there. I have his mess to clean up." Stoick said as Gobber smacked Hiccup lightly on the head but Hiccup clearly didn't mind it.
Stoick leaves in the opposite direction while Gobber leads Hiccup through the walk of shame as many vikings shook their heads in disappointment in the teen's direction as they went to do repairs on the village. The duo passed by the other teens hanging out at the bottom of the Great Hall who in turn snickered and mocked Hiccup for one of his many screwups.
"Quite the performance." Tuffnut mocked him before Ruffnut shoved him a little.
"I've never seen anyone mess up that badly. That helped!" Snotlout said as he clearly got in his cousin's face to rub more salt into the wound.
