Lilith brushed her gold dress down, before looking up at Klaus, who stood before her, by the doorway of her house. He wore a brown long coat with light cream coloured shirt and black pants.
Her eyes glazed over him, "It... It looks—"
Axel interrupts her from the back, looking between the two. "Matching." Axel makes eye contact with Klaus, "Make sure she is safe and gets home before nightfall."
"Axel," She sighed, "I can keep myself safe, thank you very much."
"Hmm, but this is the least he can do as your escort."
"It's fine," Lilith looks to Klaus, who smiles at Axel, confidently. "I know how to treat a lady."
"I am sure." Axel hands Lilith a dagger. "Use it under any sorts of danger. I would really like to accompany you. It is what I was sent for..."
"Don't worry, my devious spawn. I can handle it and Daddy's just a worried man for his daughter."
"He's right to worry. You are not even—" He pauses, when she gives him a glare. He glances at Klaus before his shoulders and head drop. "Have a good time."
"We will. Thank you," She kisses his cheek and looks to Klaus, who lends her an arm. She smiles at him, looping her arm around his. "How do I look?" She asked with a grin as they walked over to the carriage.
Klaus leaned down to her ear, whispering in her ear, "Breathtaking." His voice was so quiet and yet so deep, that shivers ran down her and heat raised to her cheeks. The feeling of his breath on her ear made her look down. She felt his lips curve into a smirk on her ear, "How do I look, love?"
Her eyes widened, before she looked at him, feeling her heart race. "You—... You look... great."
"Just great?" He teased her, helping her step up and into the carriage. He lifted her dress's trail and helped her gather it. He got in, sitting across her. "I was expecting something more than 'great', since I did say you were breathtaking," He says with a smile, clasping his hands together on his lap.
"Oh, so you passed such a compliment to get a greater compliment back," She smirked at him, "I see how it is."
He chuckled, looking down at his hands. When he looked up at her, through his lashes, he saw her watching him with a smile. "You must really love smiling."
"Hmm, it's always nice to see a smiling face and it makes people want to smile too. So, that's why I smile... So, that I can help put a smile on others's faces." She took a sharp breathe, smiling wide. "Is it making you smile?"
