Kanari Alizae Brown
Today was a pretty booked day for Kanari. She had to go talk things out with her mom, get on a zoom with her therapist, and attend graduation practice.
Although Kanari technically graduated already, she still wanted that luxury of walking across the stage, receiving her diploma cover.
Due to showering with Sevyn last night, all she had to do was freshen up prior to getting dressed.
"Hey siri, play 'Creep' by TLC."
Waiting for Siri to play her requested song, she turned on the sink water. She wet her toothbrush before putting the toothpaste on, wetting the toothbrush once more.
"Now playing, 'Creep' by TLC." Siri announced.
Putting the toothbrush in her mouth and going in a circular cleansing motion, she danced along to the song that blasted throughout the bathroom.
"I love my man with all honestyyyy, but I knowwwww he's cheatingggggg on meee." She sung along, hitting a slight body roll.
"Ayeeeeeee, bowwwwwwww!" She hyped herself up in the mirror.
Finishing up her usual morning routine, she went to throw on a quick outfit.
She barely even wanted to go to graduation practice in the first place. She didn't understand what they were possibly practicing. Walking across the stage once your name was called? Seemed pretty simple to her.
"Ion' even wanna see these kids bro, ugh." She complained.
Up until her junior year, she was getting bullied by her peers. Well, that was before she took interest into smoking weed heavily.
When Kanari was in a heavy habit of smoking, she wouldn't eat all day. Without the proper nutrition and a sudden increase in her metabolism, she started to shed weight like crazy.
In just one school year, she went from 226 to 140 pounds.
Everyone at school began to praise her and attract towards her as soon as she lost weight. Not liking the feeling of all the fake, unwanted attention, she made sure to distance herself from everyone, except Tank. He loved her for her, no matter what, that was his homegirl for life.
Yes, she was glad that she lost weight, but she hated the way that she lost it.
Looking in her full body mirror, she seen the old scars on her thighs. There were at least 20 lines total.
"Damnnnn Kanari, you used to fuck yo' self uppppp." She joked, something she did to cope with her trauma.
Hearing tossing and turning, she turned around to see Sevyn awaking from his slumber.
"Good morning boo, you sleep good?" She asked.
"Yea, good mornin' Mama." He spoke with a slightly groggy, yet deep voice.
Seeing Sevyn leave the room, she assumed that he went to go handle his morning routine.
Finally finding an outfit, she chose to wear an all pink Euphoric777 hoodie, grey biker shorts, and pink crocs.
She quickly styled her hair by throwing it in a messy bun, pulling some curls out for her sideburns.
Deciding not to waste her designer perfume, she picked out 'frosted coconut snowball' by bath and body works.
Making sure to rub Aquaphor on her pressure points, she then sprayed the perfume all over herself, including the pressure points.
Bending over to pick up the cap for her perfume, she felt a hard figure behind her.
