••• Story Plot: Beth gets an abortion when she asked Jamie to take her to the clinic rather than a hysterectomy but goes through fertility issues as an adult / she has a hard time being a mother to Addy due to her strained relationship with her own mother. The Jamie / Beth relationship is strained because he blames her for the death of their mother.
She ends up getting pregnant again with Rip as the father later in life but is still unsure of having a relationship with Rip so she decides to raise the child alone until she makes her return to the Dutton ranch.
