Walking among the people, Chenxi was no stranger of the whispers and guards that followed her trail. She knew her own identity was a running mystery for those who lived on the Luofu, yet she tried not to socialize much among the people for fear of her own being. It was on her weekly walk where she decided to rest by the pavilion overlooking the withered tree, dismissing the guards who stood away yet blocking the exit routes.

For a moment, she took comfort in the silence, of the illusion of being alone there. The people were more scarce since it was near evening and they were returning from their work or having late lunch. Taking a seat, Chenxi took the time to get lost in the scenery. Despite being here for only a couple of years, she felt nostalgic sitting here, as she had once sat here before with someone else. When she closed her eyes, she could even hear the echo of conversation in her mind.

"Ying-jie! Look at Yingxing! He really needs to let up!" A boyish voice still ripe in youth shouted in teasing light, she could even imagine the sly grin on his face.

"You brat! I won't let you go with this insult!" Another deep masculine voice gritted it, yet she knew he was not truly angry at the receiver. the echoes of female laughter continued on in face of the scene.

Lost in the noise of her mind, she didn't notice the silhouette of a man standing near her. It was when the breeze that moved her veil and hair against her face, she had push it away and noticed him. Peering at him, she looked up to the standing form of a man from her seating position, craning her head up just to meet crimson eyes that had a glow to them.

Sadness and fear struck her almost immediately at the sight of him. He was not supposed to be here as explained to her by Jing Yuan. Yet no one ever answered her question, the question that had always plagued her since awakening. Whywhywhywhy-

"Hello..." despite her feelings, she called out to the man who was watching her silently. A part of her wanted to run because he was dangerous yet another part of her wanted to embrace him like a lost child. He tilted his head slightly at her and for some reason smirked. "Hello."

"What are you doing here?" she called out, her voice sounded firm in speech yet soft in nostalgia. It has been decades since meeting one of her dear friend despite the change in aura and appearance from when she last saw him. But it seems that it was fine as the black haired man suddenly laughed to himself. "I doubt you truly desire to know such things... Ying."

They both knew what he spoke of was true, yet despite the madness that cling to his very being, perhaps her foolish desire still seek her own punishment. "..Then, what should I call you now?" He stared at her with an intense gaze before smirking.

"No... I don't think you want to know my current name... But I wonder" suddenly, he stepped closer to her, towering his height over her seated form. His gaze never left her form as he moved his face inches away from hers. "...how are even you here?"
