Best friends November Adams and Jessie Reynolds-Somber used to tell each other everything. Now, they have secrets—but that's okay, because time brings everything to light eventually.
hi.
this is my fourth onc. in 2021 and 2022, i had three entries each year. out of those six, i only completed two, and out of those two, i only kept one.
last year, i wrote two entries. easier to manage, people do it all the time, of course i'll finish them. nope.
this year, i plan to only write one onc entry. this one.
i've had this idea in my head, in some form or another, for ~3 years. i wrote november's and jessie's characters into an onc 2021 novella, actually. finding november. hopefully none of you remember it.
(and yes, it will be getting a full novel rewrite (with dual pov) when onc's over. or when i—probably inevitably—get cut.)
what to expect
—a lack of romance (okay I lied there is some, but it's not between the leads and unimportant to the overall story)
—a Canadian setting (nowhere specific; just your everyday average sized city with many different hospitals. yes that particular fact is relevant to the story.)
—introverts with more than one (1) friend because that bothers me in fiction where the 'loner' just. doesn't get along with anyone besides that one friend? what's up with that anyway.
—on that note: guys and girls that stay friends. Why is that not a thing in books, especially teen fiction/young adult fiction?
—literally everyone is biracial.
—mental health issues.
—lgbtq characters/themes. Including, but not necessarily limited to: messy bisexuals, pansexual poets, and flirty asexuals.
