Haydee

My head was throbbing. I couldn't open my eyes but I knew I had to soon to make mum and Andrew breakfast.

I opened my eyes but the brightness of the room caused me to close them again. My room is never this bright even with the nightlight.

I opened my eyes again slowly and adjusted to the light. This wasn't my room. The walls were white and there were wears coming out of me. I was in the hospital.

Was I free? Where was mum?

I sat up just as a nurse entered the room. "Ah you're awake! How are you feeling?" she asked helping me sit up properly.

"Um i-im fine how long was I out for?" I questioned avoiding eye contact. "Two days sweetie." she frowned writing down things on a clipboard.

Two whole days. Woah.

"I will tell the doctor and officer that you're awake." with that she left. Officer? Police officer? Why was the police here?

Maybe because you got stabbed and decided to run into the middle of the road? Duh!

Oh yes. I kind of forgot about that.

Two men walked into the room. The doctor and the officer.

"How are you feeling Miss Jones?" the doctor asked checking my vitals. I wasn't surprised that they knew my name, I've been here quite a few times.

I told him I was fine and looked at the officer waiting for him to say something.

"So we called your mother but we couldn't get a hold of her so we went to her house and erm.." The officer spoke in a sympathetic tone. "Your mother was found dead due to a drug overdose Miss and your stepdad was nowhere to be found"

What? My mummy was dead? Where is Andrew? He's coming to get me isn't he?

I couldn't help but cry for my mum. Where would I go now?

"Well, since now you have no guardianship over you, we ran a blood test to see if you have any other relatives out there." he continued as if he read my mind. "It said in your file things like that would be allowed to do if necessary."

My father and brothers? I don't think I see them as family.

"We found out you have a father and brothers and since you are underage and have been a missing person for 10 years now we had to give them a call to let them know of your whereabouts." the officers tone became more serious.

"They were informed last night and will be arriving to come collect you some time today as you are well enough to leave." I sighed giving him a nod and saying okay.

Monet household

Joseph Monet

I was at one of my warehouses torturing a mole when I got a call on my normal phone.

I looked at the caller ID and it was a random number. I don't get calls on this phone unless they're from my sons. Everyone else strictly knows to call me on my business phone.

I answered feeling pissed that I got disturbed at such a time.

"Speak"
"This is officer miles calling from the London police department is this..Joseph Monet?"
London? Why would the London police be calling me??
"Yes this is he. What do you need?"
"Well Mr Monet, we have your daughter , Haydee Jones, in our hospital currently and her mother, Rosette Jones, was found dead due to an overdose after your daughter was admitted into the hospital."
Haydee? My Haydee? My soleil is in the hospital.
Rose was dead?
"Sir we were wondering if you would like to take guardianship over Haydee or she would have to go into a care home because her stepdad, Andrew Jones, could not be found."
"Yes I would like to take my daughter in are you stupid? Send me the location and I will be there some time today as soon as possible. Also, why was she in the hospital?"
"Um, your daughter was stabbed. She ran into the middle of the road trying to get the attention from the drivers and lucking they stopped and called an ambulance."
I was enraged. My little girl was stabbed?? After saying thank you to the officer I ended the call and got a message with the location soon after.

I told the guards in the cell to deal with the mole while I dealt with a family emergency.

I got in the car and called my eldest son and told him to tell all of his brothers to be in the living room in 10 minutes.

When I arrived home I could hear them talking to eachother trying to guess why I told them to all be here together.

"Papa what's this about?" my youngest, Lucien questioned making the others look towards me.

"I have some news for you." i said with a big grin on my face. They all looked confused.

"Is dad smiling? Pinch me." Elliot said with a gasp so my other son, Gabriel pinched him.

"Ouch you chienne!" he swore making the rest of his brothers laugh.

"Enough boys! I got a call today from the police department in London." i smiled even wider.

"London? Why would they be calling you?" Fabien said very confused.

"Well they said they have Haydee over there in a hospital. I agreed to take guardianship over her." my sons gasped hearing what I had just said and they all spoke at once.

"What if it isn't her??"
"Why's my petite soeur in the hospital?!!"
"What? Why would you do that??"
"MY SISTERS COMING HOME??"
"She's not fit for this life dad."
"When are you going to get her?"

"They sent me a blood test and that's how I know she is my babygirl and she was in the hospital because she was stabbed and I would do that because she has has much right to stay here as you all do." I answered their questions one by one.

"Cedric you're coming with me to go get her from the hospital." I decided. The rest apart from the twins groaned.

"Fabien, Lucien do not make such faces. Your baby sister is coming home you should be happy and one of you needs to get her room ready." I glared at them.

"But pa she doesn't belong here! For all we know she could be some stuck up whore!" Lucien said earning a smack from Matteo.

"Your poor sister is in the hospital right now recovering from a stab. I suggest you get those nasty thoughts out of your head before we come back with her boy." I spoke a bit louder than before to let them know I was serious. "Am I clear?"

"Yes pa." they both said.

I left with Cedric to go collect my petite fille.
