Cassia Rose made a mistake: she didn't believe the legends, but they're real. And learning this truth may just cost her life.

After going into the local haunted manor to impress a boy, Cassia sees strange things everywhere, from floating lights to transparent people. When one of these oddities tells her she's marked for death, she accepts her friend's strange suggestion to seek out newcomers calling themselves 'Spirit Hunters.'

They are an abnormal group with even more abnormal claims. Spirits roam the world, and Heartwood is an epicenter of activity for them. And Cassia has awoken one of the worst there from its slumber.

With the help of these Hunters, including the kind silver-eyed boy tasked with guarding Cassia personally, she will do whatever she needs to survive.

Even uncover parts of herself that were meant to remain buried.

Introduction

Year four of attempting ONC.  Wish me luck actually accomplishing it this year!  I may stand a chance since, like, this time last year I was writing about 5k per month, and now I can get about 20k per month.  Biiig difference.

Anyway, this story is gonna take an inkling of an idea I had in the past and expand it into a novella!  I hope you look forward to it :D First chapter will hopefully be up in a couple of days!

What will you find in this book?  A world much like ours but not quite, some dashes of anime influence, magical powers, said magical powers + weapon combat, animal-esque spirit companions, and even blooming romance?  

Keep in mind that, although I will do a quick edit of my chapters, this is a first draft, and as such, it will not be perfect.
